How Germany Was Chosen as the Euro 2024 Host
Germany went up against Turkey in the battle to host Euro 2024. A decision was made at the UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Nyon in September 2018. Germany has successfully hosted major football tournaments in the past, including the 2006 World Cup. This will be the first time Germany has hosted the European Championship since its reunification.

10 cities across Germany will host matches during Euro 2024. The Munich Football Arena hosts the opening match of the tournament. This involves Germany and Scotland and takes place on June 14.
