Sacramento Kings vs Denver Nuggets: Current situation
Sacramento’s numbers are up across the board during this 3-game win streak. They’ve also won 4 of their last 5 games and have the NBA’s best offensive rating during this stretch at 124.4 points scored over 100 possessions. Only Oklahoma City has a higher Net Rating in these 5 games, the Kings are beating teams by an average of 15.8 points per game. The injury situation has also been good with just Kevin Huerter being questionable to play on Monday.
Denver has recovered well following that embarrassing loss to Washington last week. They’ve now beaten the Hawks by 30 and the Clippers by 22 points in their last 2 games, relying mostly on Nikola Jokic to do so. The Joker is now averaging 31.5 points, 13.3 rebounds and 9.8 assists per game which makes him the frontrunner to win another MVP award. However, his team will have to do a lot better than the 13-10 record they have right now, which sees them occupying 6th place in the West.
Sacramento Kings Stats & Form
After back-to-back double-digit wins over San Antonio and Utah, the Kings barely squeaked out a win in New Orleans 111-109 last Thursday. Domantas Sabonis had arguably the most dominant game of the season with 32 points and 20 rebounds. DeMar DeRozan also chipped in an efficient 29, more than making up for Fox’s 7-for-20 effort from the field. Facing Jokic down low will be a different story tonight though, so it’ll be interesting to see how many points Sabonis can record in this one.
Denver Nuggets Stats & Form
For once Nikola Jokic wasn’t the leader in points scored in a Nuggets game this season. Jamal Murray had 20, while Michael Porter Jr. added 17 as the Nuggets cruised past the Clippers 120-98 on Friday. The game was pretty much decided after 3 quarters, so none of the starters played more than 32 minutes, which could benefit Denver in Monday’s game. However, keep in mind that they are still only 2-4 ATS over their last 6 games overall.
Sacramento Kings vs Denver Nuggets: Head-to-Head

Betting tip and prediction: Sacramento Kings vs Denver Nuggets (16.12.2024)
The Kings are finally starting to click and have won 3 games in a row, however from a bettors perspective they have been dreadful lately covering the spread just 4 times in their last 14 games. Going into Monday’s game they have to ask themselves do they have an answer for Nikola Jokic. The Kings rank 2nd in opponents points in the paint this season, allowing just 42.9 per game. That number has gone down to 40.7 per game over their last 3 games, which is one of the main reasons why they’ve been able to beat their last 3 opponents. Shutting down the paint here would do wonders for them as the Nuggets aren’t exactly elite when it comes to three-point shooting. Nikola Jokic hasn’t had the best of games over the 2 most recent meetings, averaging just 14.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 9.5 assists, that will surely give the Kings much needed confidence going into this game. Despite the 22 point win over the Clippers, Denver is still a work in progress, especially Jamal Murray who has been very inconsistent this season. We feel like the Kings are the more in-form team here, so let’s give them the benefit of the doubt and back a home victory here.
