This weekend is one of the biggest weekend’s in recent memory in terms of Premier League football as Liverpool host Everton in the Merseyside derby and Manchester United host Manchester City in the Manchester derby. Both of those games take place on Sunday though and in this preview I’ll be taking a look at Saturday’s matches and building you a 4-fold bet to take advantage of. All of the odds in this article come courtesy of bet365 and are accurate at the time of writing.
West Ham United v Chelsea
The early game on Saturday is a London derby between struggling West Ham United and high flying Chelsea. West Ham pushed league leaders, Manchester City, all the way last weekend before a late David Silva goal saw them go down to a 2-1 defeat. David Moyes will be looking for his players to take the positives from that game to give them confidence on Saturday. They will be coming up against an in form Chelsea team though and despite drawing 1-1 with Atletico Madrid in midweek, Antonio Conte’s side look bang in form. I’m backing Chelsea to pick up an away win in this one.

Crystal Palace v Bournemouth
Crystal Palace have been steadily improving over recent weeks and a run of four games with defeat has seen them climb up to 18th in the table. On Saturday they come up against an inconsistent Bournemouth side who are just five points above Palace. In Wilfried Zaha, Palace have a player with genuine quality and if he can fire on Saturday, I think they will have too much for a weak Bournemouth defence. I’m backing Palace to win this one and continue their steadily climb up the table.

Newcastle United v Leicester City
Newcastle United have been very poor recently and a run of four defeats in five games has seen them slide right down the table into 15th place. Takeover talks have also apparently stalled due to the fear of relegation and everything seems to be going wrong for the club right now. On Saturday evening they come up against a Leicester City side who have been much improved since Claude Puel took charge. The Foxes have lost just one of their last five matches, against Manchester City, and I think they’ll do well again on Saturday. Rafael Benitez will be looking to keep things tight and I can see this game ending in a draw.

Burnley v Watford
Saturday afternoon sees two of the surprise packages of this season face off against each other at Turf Moor. Both Burnley and Watford are performing above and beyond expectations this season, with Burnley currently flying high in 7th place and Watford just one place and three points behind in 8th. Sean Dyche has done a superb job at Burnley this season and to find themselves level on points with Spurs after 15 games is some achievement. I think this could be a really tight game on Saturday and considering Watford boast one of the best away records in the Premier League, they will fancy their chances. I’m backing Burnley to pick up the win here though and I think it’ll be built on a solid defensive performance.
