Premier League 4-Fold – Saturday

It’s been a busy week in the Premier League, there have been two new manager appointments in Sam Allardyce and Alan Pardew, there was a full midweek fixture schedule and now we have some huge games taking place this weekend, including Arsenal vs Manchester United. In this article I will be selecting four of Saturday’s matches for you and putting together a 4-fold bet for you to take advantage of.

Chelsea v Newcastle United

The early game on Saturday sees Rafael Benitez head back to his former club to take on Antonio Conte’s Chelsea. Newcastle come into this game on a poor run of form which has seen them go winless through five games. Benitez will have been pleased with the character shown to come back from a 2-0 deficit to draw with West Bromwich Albion last time out, but The Magpies have been poor of late. It will be tough at Stamford Bridge against a Chelsea side who have won seven of their last eight matches and I’m backing Conte’s side to pick up another win in this game, without conceding.

Stoke City v Swansea City

Two struggling teams meet at the Ladbrokes Stadium on Saturday as Stoke City host Swansea City in a battle between two managers who are the favourites to face the axe next. Between these two teams they have just one win in ten matches and both are facing another relegation battle. I’m backing Stoke City to win this one as I think they have more quality in attack than this Swansea side who have failed to find the net in each of their last four matches.

Everton v Huddersfield Town

Everton finally turned in a decent performance in midweek, beating West Ham United 4-0 with Wayne Rooney scoring a stunning hat trick. Sam Allardyce has now joined the club and with him in charge I think we will see The Toffees start to pull away from the relegation zone. On Saturday they come up against a Huddersfield Town side who were trounced 5-0 by Arsenal in midweek and I think their struggles will continue at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Arsenal v Manchester United

Both of these sides come into this game in fine form having recorded three wins on the spin in the league, but something has to give on Saturday evening. Arsenal can close the gap on Manchester United to just a solitary point with a victory at The Emirates and Jose Mourinho will be desperate not to lose this game. Mourinho likes to keep things tight in big games as can be seen from his results against Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur this season, with none of those games containing more than a single goal. I’m backing a draw in this one as I think Mourinho will attempt to suck the life out of this game and park the bus against Arsenal.
