Following a two-week international break, domestic football returns this weekend with five of the top six sides in the Premier League playing on Saturday. The first game of the weekend is, without doubt, the biggest, as Arsenal host Tottenham Hotspur in the North London Derby. Liverpool take on one of their bogey teams this weekend in the shape of Southampton; The Reds have failed to beat The Saints in any of their past five meetings, scoring just twice in the process. Jurgen Klopp will have been furious to hear that Sadio Mane was again injured on international duty with Senegal this week after only just getting his star man back after an injury in the last international break. Klopp should welcome Philipe Coutinho back into his starting line up though after the Brazilian started Tuesday’s game against England at Wembley. I’m backing Liverpool to win this one against a blunt Southampton attack who shouldn’t cause them too many problems at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.

EvertonTwo of the worst teams in the Premier League this season meet on Saturday as Crystal Palace host Everton at Selhurst Park. Everton’s search for a new manager continues after they were rebuffed by Sam Allardyce and Marco Silva this week and it is looking increasingly likely that David Unsworth will be given the job on a permanent basis until the end of the season. Everton picked up a massive win in their last game, coming from 2-0 down to beat Watford, but I think we could see a draw in this one. Palace impressed me against Spurs last time out despite losing and I think this could be a good game.

Burnley v Swansea
Two teams having very differing seasons meet at Turf Moor in this one as high flying Burnley host 19th placed Swansea City. Sean Dyche has exceeded expectations this season as his Burnley side have lost just 2 of their opening 11 games and I’m backing them to pick up another win in this one. Burnley don’t score many goals (3 in 5 home matches), but if they score first in this one, then I can see no way back for Swansea.

Manchester United v Newcastle United
The late game on Saturday sees Manchester United host Newcastle United at Old Trafford in what could be an interesting game. Rafael Benitez has plenty of history against Manchester United from his days with Liverpool and the Spanish boss will be desperately trying to thwart the Red Devils attack on Saturday evening. I think this could be a close game, but you would expect Manchester United’s quality to shine through in the end and I can see United picking up a narrow win here.
