Phoenix Suns vs Milwaukee Bucks: Current situation
The dreams of making the play-in tournament are slowly becoming a reality for the Phoenix Suns who are now the 10th seed in the Western Conference. They’ve won 3 games in a row, Kevin Durant has decided to take it upon himself to drag this team into postseason contention, after a miserable regular season. There’s still a lot of work left to be done though, with 11 games to go the Dallas Mavericks have an identical record, but the Suns have the edge with the better head-to-head record.
Milwaukee’s battle for the 4th seed with Indiana continues as the two teams are neck and neck with just 12 games left to be played. With the Pacers winning 4 straight, the Bucks are under a lot of pressure to respond and they’ve done so by winning 2 in a row. Damian Lillard has been dealing with a calf issue which forced him to miss the Bucks game at Sacramento, his status is unknown for the game in Phoenix on Monday.
Phoenix Suns Stats & Form

This team is slowly coming to life despite all the issues they’ve faced this year. Devin Booker had 17 points and 10 assists in the win as well, while the 3rd superstar Bradley Beal sat out the game due to a hamstring issue. He is not expected back for Monday’s game.
Milwaukee Bucks Stats & Form
Giannis Antetokounmpo had one of his more memorable games this season with 32 points and 17 rebounds as the Bucks took down the Kings 114-108 on Saturday. At one point Milwaukee was down by as many as 14 points, which makes their win all that impressive. They dominated inside the paint by scoring 54 points, plus they also held the Kings to just 23% shooting from three.

Betting tip and prediction: Phoenix Suns vs Milwaukee Bucks (24.03.2025)
All eyes will be on the two superstars in this game as Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo go at it. The importance of this game shouldn’t be underestimated for both sides, but we would argue it is more important to the Phoenix Suns who are battling for their playoff lives. Not having Bradley Beal around has actually been a net positive for the Suns who rely on Durant mostly for scoring and on Devin Booker for their playmaking. That’ll be the gameplan for Monday’s game as well, especially if the Bucks are without Damian Lillard once again which would make the Suns’ lives on defense so much easier. Phoenix has had issues defending the three-ball this season, ranking just 18th in opponent percentage from downtown. Meanwhile, Milwaukee ranks 3rd in this category, their last 3 opponents have made just 32.5% of their attempts from three. This tells us that it would be smarter for the Suns to force the ball down low and attack the paint to get easy buckets. Whether or not they can do that remains to be seen. Ever since they traded away Jusuf Nurkic they’ve had issues dealing with opposing big men down low. Phoenix ranks just 19th in opponent points in the paint this season, that is music to the ears of Antetokounmpo who does most of his damage from up close. Giannis is putting up big time numbers right now, without Damian Lillard he has elevated his game to a whole new level. Despite being underdogs here, we feel like the Bucks are more than capable of getting a result. Back Milwaukee to cover.
