Betting tip and prediction: Philadelphia 76ers vs Los Angeles Lakers (28.01.2025)
The Lakers are on a solid run right now, if you’re backing them here your only gripe is whether or not they’ll be tired from Monday’s game at Charlotte. Aside from that, they are the better team on offense as well as on defense. The addition of Dorian Finney-Smith has given them another wing defender who can make life difficult to the opposing team’s best player on any given night. Paul George will be the focal point of Finney-Smith’s defense, it’ll be interesting to see if the veteran can have a good scoring night here. Philadelphia will once again rely on Tyrese Maxey who carried them to an important win over Chicago the other night, with Austin Reaves now starting for the Lakers it’s quite obvious that Maxey will get whatever he wants in this game as the Lakers simply cannot match his speed and quickness. Philadelphia’s issues will be on defense though, they’ve allowed opponents to shoot 43.8% from downtown over their last 3 games, so even a slightly above average Lakers team will have a solid shooting night here. Anthony Davis will be a hard cover without Embiid and possibly Andre Drummond, expect him to get another 25+ point double-double. We would be surprised if the 76ers won here, the Lakers beat them by 10 in the first meeting this year, so let’s back them to repeat that on Tuesday night.
