Minnesota is one of those rare teams that have a better ATS record in away games compared to those played at home. That should fill them with optimism going into Oklahoma City here, even though they are coming off a tough road loss at Houston 121-115. Anthony Edwards did not disappoint, he led the scoring with 37 points, expect him to be aggressive in Monday’s game as well as the Timberwolves are hit hard by the injury bug.

These two teams will actually meet on Sunday night in Minnesota, which means this will be a 2nd night of a baseball series between the two teams. Based on the two meetings we’ve had earlier this season, it promises to be yet another tight affair which would in theory favor the underdog here and that’s Minnesota. The oddsmakers appear to be very confident in a Thunder win, hence the big spread on the road team here. It’s worth nothing that the OKC win earlier in the year vs Minnesota was by just 8 points, so the Timberwolves have covered in both meetings. Julius Randle, Rudy Gobert and Donte DiVincenzo are all on the injury report which isn’t good news for the road team, but as long as Anthony Edwards is playing this team is capable of staying competitive against anyone in the league. The 15-13 SU road record shows us that they are playing with a ton of resilience in away games, that could come in handy down the road in the postseason if they don’t get home court advantage in the first couple of rounds. OKC is in good rhythm though, the comeback of Holmgren is massive for them, he could have one of his best games of the season here if the Timberwolves are without Gobert. Overall the Thunder are just a more talented team top to bottom, we feel like backing them to cover is a really solid bet here.
