OKC is on a roll right now, having won 4 games in a row. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the leader for MVP honors this season, if his team goes on to lift the Cup he will undoubtedly be the MVP of this tournament as well. The Rockets biggest strength this season is their defense, but in 2 meetings against the Thunder they allowed 126 and 116 points this season. Alperen Sengun has been the brain of this team, similar to what Nikola Jokic is for the Nuggets, just on a smaller scale. Having Isaiah Hartenstein down low should limit his production, Oklahoma City allows the fewest points inside the paint this season at just 41.7 points per game. Meanwhile, the Rockets have really struggled in this area allowing 50.7 per game, which is good news if you’re a OKC fan as they like to rely on their inside scoring to win games. All in all, the edge goes to Oklahoma City here as they have way more experience and are more talented on paper.
