Notts County are just struggling for form at the moment but they look comfortably sequestered away inside the top seven nonetheless. A win for them in this one would change the whole complexion of their current situation. Stevenage collected themselves a rare win last weekend but they are still locked in the bottom half of the table and going nowhere.

Notts County
The Magpies slipped to a 1-0 defeat out at Cambridge in midweek and that leaves them with a patchy W2 D1 L4 sequence of form. Still, as a huge positive though they have won their last two league home games, but they conceded in each of those so both teams to score in this one is well worth a look. Newport themselves have scored an average of two goals per game so that suggests that they will push towards over 2.5 goals themselves. They have also conceded an average of a goal per game as well and 65% of fixtures at Meadow Lane have seen at least three goals. County have scored in each of their last six home games now in the league and have suffered just the two defaults on home soil all season (W11 D4) so they are one of the better home sites, actually only ladders Luton have a better home record than the Magpies do this season. Notts County have scored in 94% of their home matches.
Stevenage
So a tough away game for Stevenage coming up on the weekend. They have suffered back to back league defeats away from the Lamex Stadium now and have won only one of their last twelve out on the road. Overall they have managed only the four away wins this term so it’s been pretty miserable for them. They just have struggled to put the ball in the back of the night away from home, scoring just the 14 goals in their 17 away fixtures. They failed to score in 35% of their away games and from what they have come up with on the road, 64% of their goals have been in the second half of matches. They have only been leading twice at half time away from home this season. Seven of their away games have been 0-0 at half time which is well worth considering for them to be at that stage after 45 minutes. It looks at times if the end of the season can’t come quickly enough for them.
Notts County vs Stevenage Head to Head
There was a 1-1 draw between them earlier in the season and Stevenage are unbeaten in their last three games against County now. County though have taken four points from their last two home games against Boro and there was a 1-1 draw played out between them in this corresponding fixture last season at Meadow Lane.
Top Notts County vs Stevenage Betting Tip
County have good enough home form behind them to put a win on the board in this one and it would be a welcome three points as well so that they can steady the ship a little bit in their play off challenge. Look for the home points and to nil as well.
