Milwaukee Bucks vs Los Angeles Lakers: Current situation
We are at the stage of the season where every little losing streak can cause a team to drop down in the standings drastically. The Bucks are in danger of that as they’ve now lost 3 games in a row, with the Pacers and Pistons lurking behind them. The 3 teams are all within a game in the standings, so it’s important for Milwaukee to return to wining as soon as possible. Milwaukee’s problem is that they have one of the tougher remaining schedules left over these next 4 weeks of the regular season.
The Lakers are also in a similar spot in the Western Conference. At 40-23 they are currently 3rd in the standings, but things can rapidly change as Memphis and Houston are behind them by just 1 game. The issue that the Lakers have is their away form – in road games this season they’ve won just 15 of 31 games, that’s something that will need to be addressed in these last month or so of the regular season.
Milwaukee Bucks Stats & Form
A monster rebounding night for Giannis didn’t make a difference for the Bucks who fell on the road in Indiana 115-114 on Tuesday night. Brook Lopez was the surprise leader in points with 23 for Milwaukee, when you have Antetokounmpo and Lillard on the team you simply cannot have anyone else lead you in scoring if you want to win games at a high level.
Los Angeles Lakers Stats & Form
The defense hasn’t been the issue for the Lakers in their last 2 games, this team is struggling to find the bottom of the net on the other end. Losing LeBron James has been a net negative for sure, but Luka Doncic simply has to do better than his 8-for-26 effort vs Brooklyn the other night. As a team the Lakers could just never get into the flow of the offense, connecting on just 43% of their shot attempts.
Milwaukee Bucks vs Los Angeles Lakers: Head-to-Head
Over the last 3 seasons wins in this match-up have been evenly distributed, with each team winning 1 regular season series and splitting the 3rd one. LA swept the two games last season, by just 4 and 1 points, so we could be in for another tight game on Thursday Overall, the Bucks have had slightly more success over the past 15 games, winning 10 of them. This will be the 147th meeting all time in the regular season between the two teams.
Milwaukee Bucks – Los Angeles Lakers Odds

The point total has been set at 225.5 points, with odds of 10/11 supporting either the over or the under.

Betting tip and prediction: Milwaukee Bucks vs Los Angeles Lakers (13.03.2025)
Losing to the Brooklyn Nets on Monday was not a good look for the Lakers as they dropped below the .500 mark in road games for the season. Luka Doncic in particular had a pretty bad game shooting just 8-for-26 from the field and turning the ball over 5 times. Thankfully though, a new game is on the horizon just 2 days later and the Lakers will look to make amends. The absence of LeBron James has proven to be a difficult obstacle so far, but this is where the coaching of JJ Redick and the production of the role players comes in play. Milwaukee too is on a poor run right now, having lost 3 games in a row, they just had their hearts ripped out by Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers who beat them in controversial fashion on Tuesday night. With the two teams now tied at 36 wins and 28 losses, the sense of urgency for the Bucks is far greater in this game, if they want to retain that elusive 4th seed in the Eastern Conference. Giannis Antetokounmpo has dominated the Lakers in the last 5 meetings, averaging 37 points, 13.2 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game. And that was back when the Lakers had Anthony Davis guarding the middle of the paint, with AD gone they are relying on Alex Len to do so and this could be troubling in Thursday’s game. Everyone is expecting a bounce back game from Luka Doncic here, but even if that is the case we still like the Bucks. They’ve won 10 of 15 meetings and are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 home games overall. Let’s back Milwaukee to cover the spread.
