Miami Heat vs Memphis Grizzlies: Current situation
Miami is currently on one of the most unusual runs in NBA history. After losing 10 games in a row, they’ve turned things around completely and have won their last 5 games. Granted, the strength of schedule in those 5 games wasn’t very hard, but we still have to give them credit for improving so radically in such a short period of time. Their last 3 of 4 opponents failed to cross the 100 point plateau as well.
It all went downhill for Memphis after they fired their head coach Taylor Jenkins with just 9 games remaining in the regular season. They’ve now lost 4 games in a row and dropped in the standings to 6th place in the Western Conference. If they don’t find a way to recover quickly, they could be looking at a spot in the play-in tournament, which would be a massive underachievement for a team that once ranked 2nd in the West behind the OKC Thunder.
Miami Heat Stats & Form
The Heat had a relatively easy win on Monday as they destroyed the Washington Wizards 120-94 on the road. Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro got the job done with 28 and 27 points respectively. Miami also got double-digit points from 3 bench players and that has to feel really good for a team that has vastly underachieved in this department.
Memphis Grizzlies Stats & Form
Memphis couldn’t do much against Stephen Curry who had 52 points, including 12 threes against them as they lost 134-125 at home on Tuesday. Ja Morant did his best to keep the Grizz in the game with 36 points, but the Warriors were just too good with 22 threes scored, 6 more rebounds and 7 more assists recorded. Turnovers were also a problem, Memphis ended the game with 16 of them.
Miami Heat vs Memphis Grizzlies: Head-to-Head
So far in 56 regular season games played the Heat hold a slim lead with 30 wins to 26 by Memphis. Miami has failed to crack the 100 point mark in the last 2 meetings, including a 125-91 blowout loss to Memphis less than 3 weeks ago at FedEx Forum. The two teams did however split the last 4 meetings, Thursday’s game will be the 57th regular season meeting all time.

Betting tip and prediction: Miami Heat vs Memphis Grizzlies (03.04.2025)
The Heat have the league on notice with their current 5 game win streak. They’ve completely turned things around after a disappointing first half of March, now teams at the top of the Eastern Conference are looking how to avoid them in a potential 1 vs 8 match-up in the first round of the postseason. The same cannot be said about the Memphis Grizzlies who did something that has never been seen in NBA history. People are still trying to figure out the reasons why they fired their head coach with just 9 games left, ever since the team has been in shambles and there appears to be no end in sight. They’ve put up solid numbers offensively in 2 of their last 3 games, however that won’t do them much if they continue allowing 130+ points on a nightly basis. Rebounding needs to improve – Memphis ranks just 21st in the NBA in opponent rebounds per game, while the Heat are 10th. The Grizz do rank 2nd in rebounds per game this season, but that’s more because of the fact they play one of the faster tempos in the league and increased rebounding numbers are a product of that. All in all, we are more in favor of backing the in-form team here. Miami’s duo of Adebayo and Herro has been on fire, we expect that to continue on Thursday night. Let’s go with the Heat here.
