LA Clippers vs Oklahoma City Thunder: Current situation
There is no stopping the LA Clippers right now. Kawhi Leonard is looking like the Kawhi of old, before all the injuries began. James Harden is posting really solid numbers, while center Ivica Zubac is in contention to win the Most Improved Player award. Health will once again be the key for the Clippers, if the current state holds up until the postseason begins, their fans have every right to hope for a deep playoff run.
Oklahoma City is also dealing with a few knocks right now, but that hasn’t stopped them from putting together at 5-game win streak of their own. Boston, Detroit, Milwaukee, Charlotte and Philadelphia are the 5 teams they defeated during this stretch, they did all that without Jalen Williams their 2nd leading scorer. OKC has also made the most out of Cleveland’s struggles, they now own the NBA’s best record at 58-12.
LA Clippers Stats & Form
James Harden cooked the Grizzlies for 30 points and 9 assists, while Kawhi Leonard added 23 and 10 rebounds as LA won by 20 on Friday. It was their 5th win on the bounce, they’ve also covered the spread in all 5 of those games. Confidence will be at a high going into Sunday’s game as they’ve won 10 of 12 meetings at home when playing the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Betting tip and prediction: LA Clippers vs Oklahoma City Thunder (23.03.2025)
Both teams have enjoyed a really solid spell of basketball lately, with each side winning 5 games in a row. You could argue that the Clippers opponents during this stretch were slightly better, as they took down the East leading Cleveland Cavaliers a couple of games ago. A similar effort will be required on Sunday against the Thunder, however the style of play that OKC fosters is way different than the one by the Cavs. The Thunder mostly rely on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for scoring, LA would be wise to put Kawhi Leonard on him just to test out this match-up which could be beneficial down the road if the two teams meet up in the playoffs. The big question Thunder fans are asking themselves ahead of this game is regarding the status of Jalen Williams who has had hip issues which have kept him off the court for the past 10 days or so. The team seems to be doing just fine without him and that’s a testament of just how deep of a roster SGA and co. have at their disposal. The match-up between Chet Holmgren and Ivica Zubac is another one to keep an eye on. Big Zu is more of a traditional center, relying on strength down low to get his numbers. Holmgren, on the other hand, is more of a finesse player who likes to step outside and drain the three-ball. It promises to be an exciting match-up, but we are giving a slight edge to the Clippers just for the fact that they’re playing at home where they’ve won 25 of 35 games this season. Back LA to cover as an underdog.
