Kei Nishikori News & Form
The 29-year old Japanese cruised through Week 1 at Wimbledon without dropping a set, while Nishikori outlasted Mikhail Kukushkin in four sets in the round of 16 on Monday. Still, Kei didn’t face a seeder in his four matches and all his four opponents were ranked below the 50th place at the ATP Rankings.
Nishikori came to London with a 23-10 record in 2019, winning a title in Brisbane on a hard court at the start of the season. Kei made it to the last eight at Wimbledon for the second straight year, but he’s never been in the semis before. Nishikori is 40-23 on the grass court and 39-67 against the top-10 players in his career.
Roger Federer News & Form
After dropping the first set on the tournament against George Harris, Roger Federer won 12 straight sets to easily reach his 17th quarterfinal at Wimbledon. Roger humiliated the 17th seed Matteo Berrettini in the round of 16, beating him in straight sets 6-1 6-2 6-2. Federer recorded 24 winners and just five unforced errors while winning ridiculous 56% of Matteo’s 2nd serve points.
Roger has a 36-4 record in 2019, winning three titles in Dubai, Miami, and Halle. Federer is 99-12 at Wimbledon and 185-26 on the grass court in his career, while Roger has a 219-118 record versus the top-10 players.
Nishikori vs Federer Head to Head
Roger Federer won seven of his ten encounters with Kei Nishikori, but the Japanese won their previous duel in straight sets at the 2017 ATP Finals in London. This will be their second meeting on the grass court, and Roger defeated Kei in straight sets in Halle back in 2014.

Our Nishikori vs Federer Wimbledon 2019 Tournament Betting Tip
Roger Federer will be looking for his 100th victory at Wimbledon, and I’m pretty sure he will outlast Kei Nishikori. The Japanese is a great player, but I think he doesn’t stand a chance on the grass court.
Still, it doesn’t mean Kei isn’t capable of winning a set against Roger. Nishikori will have to serve very well to stay close in each set and hope for a drop in Roger’s performance. Federer showed some flaws in his game this season, so I think there’s a value on Nishikori to earn a set. I’m backing both players to win a set at 10/11 odds with William Hill.
