Houston Rockets vs Golden State Warriors: Current situation
At 16-8 the Houston Rockets are definitely one of the rare overachievers in the NBA this season. Head coach Ime Udoka has this team playing team oriented basketball, with not a single player on the roster averaging over 20 points per game. This strategy has worked for teams in the past during the regular season, resulting in a lot of wins. But come playoff time, when the rotations shorten, the Rockets will encounter problems against teams that are top heavy.
Golden State ruined their stellar start to the season with their recent run of 5 defeats in a row. Injuries have certainly played a part in that with their best player Stephen Curry sitting out a few games. Draymond Green joined him on the sidelines for a couple of them, but that appears to be a thing of the past as the Warriors have now won 2 of their last 3 and are looking to climb up the Western Conference standings.
Houston Rockets Stats & Form
Jalen Green lit up the LA Clippers for 31 points in Houston’s latest 117-106 win on Sunday. In the win the Rockets had two players collect double-digit rebounds, winning the overall rebounding battle 50-33. Grabbing 12 offensive rebounds was also a factor, if they can do something similar against the Warriors they will be in good shape to win the game. In the most recent meeting the Warriors outrebounded the Rockets by 9 and won the game despite making just 9 threes.
Golden State Warriors Stats & Form
Stephen Curry returned to his old habits by scoring 30 points, including 5 threes as the Warriors bounced back with a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Buddy Hield also exploded for 27 points and 7 threes, those two will be the focal points of the offense in Wednesday’s game as well. Golden State’s biggest issue right now are injuries, heading into this game Andrew Wiggins and Moses Moody are both on the injury list, along with De’Anthony Melton who is lost for the season.
Houston Rockets vs Golden State Warriors: Head-to-Head
Since the 2019-2020 season the Rockets have not won a single head-to-head meeting against the Golden State Warriors in the regular season. That streak has now reached 15 games in a row after the two wins for Golden State in 2 games this season. From a betting perspective, the Warriors have covered the spread in 7 of the last 8 meetings.
Houston Rockets – Golden State Warriors Odds
Going for a Rockets win here will give you 8/11 odds, while if you’re backing Stephen Curry and co. you can get 6/5 odds.
The point total has been set at 221.5 points, with odds of 10/11 supporting either the over or the under.

Betting tip and prediction: Houston Rockets vs Golden State Warriors (11.12.2024)
Less than a week has passed since these two teams met in San Francisco, with the Warriors winning the 2nd regular season meeting this season. Houston has one thing on their minds heading into this game and that’s revenge. They’ve now lost 15 straight meetings, the loss suffered last week was a painful one as neither Stephen Curry nor Draymond Green played for Golden State. However, this being a home game for the Rockets could swing things in their direction – when playing at the Toyota Center this team has covered the spread in 8 of 9 games, plus they’re 9-3 SU in 12 played which makes them one of the better home teams in the NBA. In order to beat the Warriors you have to be at your best when it comes to guarding the perimeter and that’s one thing that the Rockets have excelled that this season. They rank 5th in opponent three-point efficiency, allowing 34.1% of threes to go in, Stephen Curry and co. could have a hard time scoring here. Golden State did win against Minnesota over the weekend, but it was only their 2nd win in 8 games, so they aren’t exactly out of the woods yet as far as their late November and early December crisis is concerned. One of the reasons why this poor run has happened is the Warriors’ struggles to hit threes, they’ve made 12 or less in 3 of their last 4. If Houston can lock down Curry they will be in a good position to win here, we recommend backing them to cover at home.
