Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns: Current situation
The rollercoaster of a season continues for Golden State as they improved to 24-23 after beating the Oklahoma City Thunder as 9.5 point underdogs. This team has been hovering around the .500 mark for quite some time now, the trade deadline will determine if they are going to sneak into the playoffs or not. Jimmy Butler is often mentioned as a trade target, however the question is are the Warriors willing to give up their future assets to get an aging star that’s clearly on the decline.
Phoenix is also mentioned as a destination for Butler, they too are aggressively trying to trade for him with Bradley Beal being mentioned as a player that would leave. That’s been a major distraction for Mike Budenholzer and his men, the chemistry just isn’t there. Kevin Durant alone will win you games just based on pure talent, the Suns are one of the biggest underachievers this season if we look at just raw talent on their roster.
Golden State Warriors Stats & Form
In Wednesday’s win over Oklahoma City the Warriors returned back to their roots which got them off to a 12-3 start this season. Anrew Wiggins and Stephen Curry each scored 5 threes, while the rest of the team chipped in big time with every single bench player scoring at least one basket. Not having Draymond Green has really hurt the toughness aspect of the Warriors, they sure could use him going up against a talented Suns team here.
Phoenix Suns Stats & Form
The Suns big three combined to score 78 points on Wednesday, but even that wasn’t enough as they fell at home to Minnesota 121-113. They now head out on the road where they’ve won just 5 of 17 games. It’s interesting to see how the Suns aren’t able to consistently win games despite having one of the healthiest rosters in the league. Not a single player is on the injury report ahead of Friday’s game.
Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns: Head-to-Head
Phoenix holds a commanding lead in the all-time regular season win total with 151 wins to 114 by the Warriors. The 3 most recent meetings saw the two teams exchange wins, with the home team winning every single time. The last 6 meetings were all decided by single digits, if we go just by that fact then it’s safe to say we can expect a similar outcome on Friday.
Golden State Warriors – Phoenix Suns Odds
Backing Stephen Curry and the Warriors here nets you odds of 5/6. If you feel like Kevin Durant can beat his old team, odds of 23/20 are available to support a road win here.
The point total has been set at 223.5 points, with odds of 10/11 supporting either the over or the under.

Betting tip and prediction: Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns (31.01.2025)
Stakes are high in Friday’s game between the Warriors and Suns as the two teams are currently in a battle for one of the remaining play-in spots in the Western Conference. Golden State just pulled off a shocker by beating the OKC Thunder on Wednesday. It was a total team effort as 5 players scored in double-figures, while the entire bench scored at least one field goal for head coach Steve Kerr. This is the way the Warriors have played in the first month of the season when almost everyone touched the ball on a nightly basis, perhaps returning to that strategy will pay off in the long run? Phoenix lost on Sunday against Minnesota as they simply had no answer for Anthony Davis who torched them for 33 points. On paper the Suns looked like the more in-form team going into that game, but they had a very weak schedule in the last 2 weeks or so which has masked a lot of their flaws. Kevin Durant and Devin Booker are putting up numbers, but this team just isn’t playing like a unit. As we approach the trade deadline the Suns are expected to make significant moves to upgrade their roster, center Jusuf Nurkic has been a distraction ever since head coach Mike Budenholzer benched him. The home team won both meetings so far this season, we feel like that trend will continue as these two meet for the 3rd time this year. Let’s stick with the Warriors to cover here.
