Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets: Current situation
Reyling on Stephen Curry to win games might get you out of the first round, but if you believe the Warriors will go all the way playing without Jimmy Butler you are wrong. This is clearly a favorable match-up for Golden State and they have the Rockets’ number right now, it’s only a question in how many games they advance to the next round.
All of Houston’s flaws have been exposed in this series. They have a seismic advantage on the boards and they are still not able to use that to their advantage. That is very disappointing if you’re looking at this series as a neutral, the lack of maturity is really killing this team. The good thing is the expectations are very low, so the Rockets front office won’t be losing any sleep if this team losses in the first round.
Golden State Warriors Stats & Form
For the 2nd time in this series the Rockets failed to clear the 100 point mark, which is an impressive feat for the Warriors considering they were without arguably their best defender in Jimmy Butler. After a somewhat slow start to the game, Curry elevated his play in the 2nd quarter and together with Budy Hield and Gary Payton II took down the Rockets.
Houston Rockets Stats & Form
Alperen Sengun once again controlled the boards with 11, to go along with his 15 points in Game 3, but it was far from enough for the Rockets who shot under 40% from the field. Grabbing 15 offensive rebounds and 51 total for the game should be enough to win on most nights, but not if you’re the Rockets who are clearly undermatched here and there’s nothing they can do about it.
Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets: Head-to-Head
Over the past 20 meetings between the two teams, only 3 of them have ended in Rockets victories so we have a big enough sample size to see which team is better. In the 10 most recent meetings, backing the Warriors to cover has yielded profit 7 times, they’ve outscored the Rockets by 4.2 points per game during this stretch.

Betting tip and prediction: Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets (28.04.2025)
No Jimmy Butler no problem for the Golden State Warriors. Once again Stephen Curry showed he is capable of carrying an entire franchise on his back, even at the tender age of 37. Buddy Hield stepped up big time from the bench with 17 points, along with Gary Payton II who had 16. It was a much needed win for the Warriors without their 2nd best player and now there is a chance Butler can return in Monday’s game as he recovers from his pelvic injury. Inconsistency is something that has bothered the Houston Rockets all season and Game 3 was the perfect example of that with their star player Jalen Green finishing with 9 points. In Game 2 he had 38 including 8 threes made, it’s hard to win games when your best player is struggling for consistency. Now the pressure is on Houston to even things up before the series shifts back to their gym, but from what we’ve seen in this series so far we are not very optimistic that will be the case here. Chase Center has been a tough place to win at for the Rockets who are just 1-8 SU in their last 9 visits. In fact they’ve covered the spread only 3 times in 14 meetings overall against this team, with so little time in between games it’s hard to expect all of those issues to go away so quickly. With a healthy Jimmy Butler back, we are once again backing the Warriors to win here.
