Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets: Current situation
The main worry coming out of the Warriors camp is the status of Jimmy Butler ahead of Game 3. The MRI came back clean so there is no structural damage to his pelvic area, however that doesn’t mean he will be ready for Saturday’s game. Golden State’s offensive rating drops from 120.7 with Butler to just 112.8 without him, so the importance of him playing cannot be overstated here.
It’s not often you’ll see the number 2 seed be the underdog in Game 3 of a series, but that’s exactly the case for the Houston Rockets. This team has been doubted so many times this year, but somehow they always find a way to respond. In 13 games against Golden State they are just 3-10 ATS, while on the road that number stands at 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
Golden State Warriors Stats & Form
With Butler going out after his pelvis injury just 8 minutes into the game, the Warriors had to figure things out on the fly. Even Jonathan Kuminga played 26 minutes and scored 11 points, but Stephen Curry got far too little help and the Warriors fell on the road. Now the pressure is on them to confirm home court advantage in this series, with the next 2 games being at Chase Center.
Houston Rockets Stats & Form
Jalen Green finally showed how promising of a talent he is by scoring 38 points, including 8 threes as the Rockets took Game 2 at home. He also got help in the form of Alperen Sengun who once again dominated the boards by grabbing 16 of them, including 6 on the offensive end. That’s one advantage that the Warriors haven’t been able to figure out and moving forward the Rockets would be smart to rely on it if that remains the case.
Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets: Head-to-Head
This will be the 8th meeting this year between the Warriors and Rockets, there aren’t many secrets between the two teams. Golden State has had the upper hand in home games vs Houston, winning 7 of the last 8 meetings. From a betting perspective, the under has been the bet to go with as it’s cashed in 6 straight meetings.
Golden State Warriors – Houston Rockets Odds
Going for a Warriors home win here gets you odds of 8/11. If you like the Rockets on the road, you can get them on the Money Line at 23/20 odds.
The point total has been set at 203.5 points, with odds of 10/11 supporting either the over or the under.

Betting tip and prediction: Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets (26.04.2025)
Scoring points has been hard in the two games played in this series so far, we are yet to have a game in which both teams have gone over the 100 point mark. That trend should continue moving forward, especially if Jimmy Butler isn’t able to play in Game 3 following his nasty fall in Wednesday’s game. As this series moves on the level of physicality is going up and now that the Warriors are back home they’ll be much comfortable playing in front of their own fans. As far as the Rockets go, they finally got a great game out of Jalen Green who exploded for 38 points, but consistency is something that the youngster hasn’t been able to master this year. Alperen Sengun has asserted himself on the boards, which is understandable considering the Warriors don’t really have a dominant force on the inside. Both teams will make the proper adjustments going into Game 3, but everything will depend on Jimmy Butler’s status here. So before making a bet on this game we advise waiting for a proper medical update from the Warriors. After seeing Jayson Tatum miss a game in the Celtics vs Magic series, we believe Butler could do the same here just to give himself an extra few days for his body to heal up. This is the perfect opportunity for the Rockets to steal a game on the road, that’s exactly what we are backing here. Take Houston plus the extra points.
