Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets: Current situation
Don’t look now but here come the Warriors. Most analysts have this team as the 2nd best in the Western Conference, right behind the Oklahoma City Thunder. The way they’ve been playing lately you can’t really blame anyone for thinking that. Golden State has won 5 straight, they are 16-4 SU over their last 20 games and own the 7th best Net Rating over their last 15 games.
The Rockets too have been playing well, they are actually the 2nd seed in the West behind the Thunder and have won 8 of their last 10 games. Beating Oklahoma City in their last game sends out a clear message to all the Rockets doubters, there are plenty of those who think that this team just lacks the necessary experience to make noise in the postseason.
Golden State Warriors Stats & Form
Stephen Curry once again went off as he scored 36 points, including 7 threes as the Warriors took down Nikola Jokic and his Denver Nuggets 118-104 on Friday night. It was an impressive performance by the Warriors who forced 26 turnovers by their opponent, resulting in 23 points. It all comes down to defense for this team and you’ll be hard pressed to find a better team in that area right now.
Houston Rockets Stats & Form
Houston displayed great defense in their latest win as well as they took down the West leading Thunder 125-111 on Friday. Jalen Green and Alperen Sengun both went off for 34 and 31 points, while as a team the Rockets outrebounded the Thunder 48-33, with 14 of those rebounds coming on the offensive end. Houston has all but cemented their grip on the 2nd seed, a win here and a Lakers loss could clinch it for them.
Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets: Head-to-Head

Betting tip and prediction: Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets (06.04.2025)
Back in mid-February when these two teams met the Warriors owned the Rockets defensively and that was a game in which they had Jimmy Butler, so we can get a sense of what match-ups we will see in Sunday’s game. The main thing for the Warriors here is to get Stephen Curry going, they’ve been able to do that over the past 10 or so games with Steph averaging 26.1 points per game on 41% shooting from three. Against the Rockets he’s at 28.6 per game over the last 10 meetings, they’ve had a really hard time trying to stay with him. Fred VanVleet isn’t exactly a defender that can cause Curry problems, so we’re expecting a big game from Steph here. The Rockets will be counting on Alperen Sengun to carry them here. The big fella has had his fair share of solid games lately, but even if he gets to his numbers here that might not be enough as we saw in the last Warriors game where they let Nikola Jokic get to his numbers but were still able to win the game. Golden State’s paint protection has been close to perfect over the last 3 games – opponents have averaged just 42.7 points per game against them in that area, it’ll be hard for the Rockets to get anything on the interior here. For only the 21st best three-point shooting team that will be an issue here. We are rolling with the in-form Warriors in this one.
