The Mavs are aware they will be outtalented on most nights due to their injury situation, but a stellar effort on defense can compensate for that. On Friday they held the Pels to just 8-for-27 shooting from downtown.

Betting tip and prediction: Golden State Warriors vs Dallas Mavericks (23.02.2025)
If there is one thing you cannot question when it comes to these Dallas Mavericks it’s their heart and effort over the past month or so. This team has dealt with all kinds of injuries this season, particularly to their superstar Luka Doncic. His replacement Anthony Davis also went down and will miss at least a month, but that hasn’t hindered their productivity at all as they look to secure one of the first 6 playoff spots in the West. Kyrie Irving has really upped his game, he is averaging 27.6 points per game in February, which is a significant increase from 23.3 he averaged the month before. Will that be enough against a loaded Warriors team though? We are not so sure. Golden State has a lethal combination of inside and outside scoring now with the Butler and Curry duo, plus a defensive anchor in Draymond Green. Chemistry has been top notch as well with Butler in the line-up, this couldn’t not have worked out any better since the trade went down for head coach Steve Kerr. Dallas won’t go down without a fight here though. They’ve done a terrific job defending the perimeter in their last 3 games, allowing opponents to shoot just 28.6% from downtown. Taking away the three-ball could be massive for them in this game, if they can figure out how to do that. The spread is just too big here in our opinion, so let’s back the Mavericks to cover.
