England return to international action on Friday night as they head out to face Malta looking to continue their unbeaten record in World Cup Qualifiers. That will not be the only game that we’ll be focusing on in this betting preview though, with eight other games taking place in the European section of qualifiers on the same night.
Kazakhstan vs Montenegro
The early match on Friday evening sees Montenegro head out to Kazakhstan for a tough away fixture. Kazakhstan have already held group leaders Poland and fourth placed Romania to draws at home and Montenegro will know that they cannot underestimate the groups basement boys on Friday. Montenegro have a solid team and this is a must win game for them, so I’m backing them to get the job done.
Montenegro to win – 4/6 (Ladbrokes)
Czech Republic vs Germany
Germany have a perfect record so far in qualification, having won all six of their matches, scoring 27 goals in the process and conceding just one. They come up against Czech Republic on Friday night and this looks like an another away win for the Germans. Germany have scored 15 goals in their three away games so far and they will be looking to put on another showcase of their attacking talents this time around.
Germany to win – 1/2 (Ladbrokes)
Malta vs England
England are one of the most reliable teams to bet on in qualifiers, they have not lost a qualification game for a major tournament since 2009 and I’m not expecting that to change against a woeful Malta side on Friday. England should get goals in this game and I’m backing them to win with a -2 handicap.
England (-2) – 4/7 (Ladbrokes)
Norway vs Azerbaijan
Norway have really struggled so far this campaign and find themselves behind Azerbaijan in their qualifying group, having picked up just one win so far and that was against San Marino. Azerbaijan won the return fixture of this game, but I’m backing Norway to pick up just their second win of qualification here on Friday to move up to fourth in the group.
Norway to win 8/13 (Ladbrokes)
Slovakia vs Slovenia
This is a huge game in Group F as the teams in second and third place meet, knowing that a win for either team would give them a great chance of finishing in a qualification spot for next years World Cup. Slovakia currently find themselves in second place in the group and have won four games on the bounce, whilst Slovenia recently lost to Scotland in a hugely disappointing game for them. Slovenia won the earlier game between these two, but I’m backing Slovakia to pick up a massive home win here and take control of second place in the group.
Slovakia to win – 1/1 (Ladbrokes)
