Netherlands travel to Belarus needing to win in order to keep their hopes of World Cup qualification alive. Dick Advocaat’s team have had a tumultuous qualifying campaign but two wins in their final two groups stage matches could see the Dutch at the World Cup once again.

Belarus
Belarus have endured a difficult qualifying campaign and sit adrift at the bottom of group A. Their only win in the group stages came back in June with a 2-1 win over Bulgaria and with Netherlands and France next up for the Belarusian’s it looks to be a tough end to the season.
Goals have been the biggest problem with Belarus only scoring 4 goals in 8 games this term (2 of which came against Bulgaria).
All of their points have come at home so far during the campaign and they will be hoping to emulate their incredible 0-0 draw with France almost a year ago and frustrate the Dutch on home turf.
Netherlands
The Dutch sit 4 points behind group leaders France in group A and will be relying on the Blues to slip up in order to catch them at the top of the group and secure automatic qualification.
With 16 goals scored in 8 games, Dick Advocaat’s men have been prolific going forward but conceding 11 goals in qualifying so far will be a huge issue for the Oranges who will need to sure things up if they progress to the World Cup.
With their winner-takes-all meeting with Sweden looming large next Tuesday, Holland will be looking to get the game wrapped up as early a possible.
Head to Head
The two sides met exactly a year ago in Rotterdam with the Dutch running away comfortable 4-1 winners with Quincy Promes bagging a brace.
This will be the 8th meeting between these two sides with Netherlands leading the head to head 5:2 and they will be looking to add to their winners tally here.
