Five Betting Tips for the Weekend

The big games just keep coming in the Premier League with Arsenal taking on Manchester United this weekend in one of the greatest rivalries of the Premier League era. There have been some superb games over the years between these two sides and hopefully this Saturday’s match at The Emirates Stadium will be no different. In this article, I will be giving you five betting tips for the weekend ahead; some of them will be longer odds and some of them will be what I see as “bankers”. Take a look through them and see if any catch your eye!

Arsenal vs Manchester United – Under 2.5 goals – 19/20 (Ladbrokes)

If you take a look at Manchester United’s record in big games so far this season, all three matches against Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs have finished 1-0, 0-0 and 1-0. Jose Mourinho likes to keep it tight in the big matches, especially away from home and that’s why I’m backing under 2.5 goals in this one. Arsenal will be full of confidence following their 5-0 win against Huddersfield on Wednesday night, but I think they will find Manchester United a tough nut to crack on Saturday evening.

Everton to win and BTTS (NO) – 7/4 (Ladbrokes)

Everton finally turned in a good performance on Wednesday night, beating West Ham United 4-0 thanks to a hat trick from Wayne Rooney. Sam Allardyce has now joined the club as manager and I’m backing him to start with a win on Saturday against a Huddersfield Town side who went down 5-0 in the week. Big Sam will sure up that creaky defence and I fancy Everton to win to nil here.

Australia to win the 2nd Test – 8/13 (Ladbrokes)

Australia picked up a huge 10 wicket victory in the First Test of this Ashes series and I’m backing them to win the second one too. I don’t think the England bowling attack is strong enough to cause this Aussie side enough problems and when you look at the England batting line up without Ben Stokes, it’s hard to see where they are going to get a score of close to 500 to really take the game to Australia. Australia are full of confidence after the First Test and it really wouldn’t surprise me to see them blow England away here.

Brooks Koepka to win Hero World Challenge – 9/1 (Ladbrokes)

The big story of the Hero World Challenge is Tiger Woods making his return to golf and if you fancy backing him to win he is available at odds of 33/1 (Ladbrokes), but I will be backing Brooks Koepka to win this weekend. He comes into this tournament in very good form, playing well in China before winning in Japan and this course will suit his big drives. I think it’s between him and Rickie Fowler for who will win and I’m backing Koepka here.

Mohamed Salah has been in superb form so far this season and took his tally to 17 goals for the season with two more against Stoke City on Wednesday night. He seems to score every time he steps on the pitch at the moment and after getting a decent rest in midweek, I’m backing him to find the net against Brighton again on Saturday.
