Saturday’s FA Cup action starts at the Highbury Stadium as League One side Fleetwood get a shot against Premier League opponents Leicester. The Cod Army are sitting around miserable in their league and have struggled for form recently. But they will have their tails up for the visit of the former Premier League winners and it’s the Foxes who are 13/20 to get the win, with Fleetwood at 5/1.
Fleetwood Form:
The Cod Army are out of form on home soil and that may ultimately unravel them in this big afternoon against a Premier League side. Fleetwood have lost their last three home games on the bounce now, conceding at least two goals in each of those defeats as well. They have collected just the one win in their last seven home games and that was in the Football League Trophy back at the start of December. They are not exactly going great guns and could have a hard time staying in this. At the end of the day, it is the vulnerabilities in their defence which looks the most likely issue to cause their downfall and their attack isn’t going to compensate.
Leicester Form:
There have been just the two losses for Leicester their last nine away games and so they should handle themselves alright in this one. The Foxes are just W1 D2 L3 in their last six games in all options and so they are off the boil in terms of winning form, but they have returned at least one goal in each of their last seven road games though. So they have scored well enough to be confident of getting through this tie. They haven’t kept a clean sheet in that sequence though so it may be worth having a look at both teams to score. Jamie Vardy is a doubt because of a groin problem likely leaving Kelechi Iheanacho and Islam Slimani as the focal points of their attack.
Head to Head News:
This will be the first meeting between the two clubs.
Top Betting Tips:
Fleetwood aren’t’ carrying the kind of momentum at home to suggest that they can go and pull off an upset here. Leicester have plenty of match winners that they can call upon and they can get themselves through this even though they aren’t in great form themselves.
