North will be feeling confident in this Bo3 after a string of wins in Krakow so far this year. They’ve lost just one game against Cloud9 on day one but even still, managed to put 12 rounds on the board before losing 12 – 16.
Their first day of the tournament was nothing to be compared to their performance thereon after. Since then, they’ve won every game with relative ease besides an overtime win against Mousesports on Cobblestone which finished 19 – 15.
Their most recent game was actually a win over Virtus.pro on Mirage 16 – 14 which will feed their confidence even further, stepping onto centre stage today.

The polish team have caused a lot of talk in the past few months but mainly due to lack of performance. Their slip down to 15th on the rankings shows their unfortunate, recent decline after being ranked 4th in May. They had a tough time at ESL One Cologne earlier in the month, it seemed that there was a strong sense of frustration and lack of motivation throughout the team.
This tournament has not been easier for them, having won only 3 out of 5 of their games so far. You can take one of those results with a pinch of salt, as their first game in the tournament was a 16 – 2 win over Vega Squadron. Anything other than an easy victory would have been disappointing.
Since then, they have won 16 – 11 against Fnatic and then went on to lose 11 – 16 to Gambit the next day. North took them for 16 – 14 on Mirage on Wednesday and later that day, Virtus.pro beat Cloud9 16 – 10.
Head To Head
The teams have played each other 19 times in total with North having won 11 and Virtus.pro 8. The last 3 head to heads have been won by north as the last time Virtus.pro took a win was in late January, before their ranking decline.
Although these teams have played each other a number of times over the years and the scoreline is relatively even, there should be a strong emphasis on the recent results. Virtus.pro are nothing like the team they were many months ago.
Betting Odds And Predictions
Interestingly, Betway have Team North as an underdog at odds of 19/20 and virtus.pro at ¾. Straight away, it’s clear that North is a great bet at those odds. Virtus.pro did put up a tough fight when they last played North but their confidence is too hurt to take a Bo3 with ease.
