Denver Nuggets vs Golden State Warriors: Current situation
The last 2 weeks have been up and down for the Nuggets who have exchanged wins and losses over their last 7 games. Aaron Gordon has been in and out of the line-up, that has significantly worsened their output on both the offensive and defensive ends. He should return to the line-up at some point this week, possibly even on Tuesday. Bettors have gotten burned by the Nuggets on quite a few occasions this season, Denver has covered the spread just 7 times in 17 games.
We haven’t seen the Warriors struggle often this season, but right now they’ve lost 4 games in a row and are looking for answers after their latest 113-105 loss at Phoenix. Scoring has been a major issue, in their last 3 of 4 games they’ve put up just 104, 101 and 94 points. It’s safe to say this team will only go as far as Stephen Curry takes them, the 36-year old might see an increase in minutes in the coming weeks, he is under 30 per game which is one of the lowest marks of his career.
Denver Nuggets Stats & Form
The month of December will tell us a lot about the Denver Nuggets and where they stand in terms of contending for a championship this season. After Tuesday’s game against Golden State they will embark on a 5-game road trip which will see them face some stiff opposition. Nikola Jokic is posting historic numbers on both ends, we just saw him drop 41 points in the loss to the Clippers. That kind of workload might work in the short term, but moving forward other star players such as Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon will have to step up if the Nuggets want to be competitive come playoff time.
Golden State Warriors Stats & Form
What exactly is going on with Golden State? Well, their defense simply isn’t playing up to it’s potential over the last 3 games. We just saw the Phoenix Suns shoot 51.4% against them from downtown, that’s unacceptable for the NBA’s best perimeter defense. Rebounding is another problem this team has had all year long, teams are averaging 55.2 boards against them per game which is the 3rd highest mark in the league. Don’t be surprised if the Warriors try to address some of their issues before the trade deadline.
Denver Nuggets vs Golden State Warriors: Head-to-Head
Since the 2021-22 season the Nuggets have won all 3 regular season series, losing all but 1 of the 11 games played during that stretch. This has significantly increased their lead in the all-time regular season series, Denver is now up 107-85 in the 192 regular season games played.
Denver Nuggets – Golden State Warriors Odds

Betting tip and prediction: Denver Nuggets vs Golden State Warriors (03.12.2024)
With a 3-0 record the Golden State Warriors have already clinched Group C in the Western Conference, so this game doesn’t hold much value for them. The last 10 days or so have been a struggle for Stephen Curry and co. as they’ve lost 4 games in a row. Curry returned to the line-up and had just 23 points in their latest loss to Phoenix, they’ve now dropped to 12-7 on the season. Meanwhile, Denver needs a big win here and a Dallas Mavericks loss at home to Memphis in order to advance to the next round. They could get Aaron Gordon back from injury, that would be a major boost to a vulnerable front line that relies on Nikola Jokic on most nights to carry them on both ends. Denver has dominated this match-up for a while now, winning the last 7 meetings by an average of 7.4 points. They aren’t the best of three-point shooting teams, but with Golden State allowing 41.7% of opponent threes to go in over their last 3 games, the flood gates could open for the Nuggets here. In Sunday’s loss to the Clippers they shot 58% from the field, but failing to convert their threes and free throws cost them the game. Things should be different against the struggling Warriors who aren’t equipped to handle a player like Nikola Jokic. Expect the Joker to have a big game here and the Nuggets to pull off the win.
