It’s not often we see the Boston Celtics struggle on offense, but that’s exactly what happened in their last game against Oklahoma City on Sunday. They ended with a season low 9 threes made on 46 attempts, shooting under 20% as a team. This team lives and dies by the three-ball, so when the shot is not going in it’s hard to win. Thankfully this hasn’t been the case many times this season, so the Celtics will look to bounce back on Tuesday against a strong Nuggets team. At 10-6 SU in home games the Nuggets are one of the stronger home teams in the NBA, however right now they have a total of 4 players on the injury report which is concerning for a team that’s not that deep. Aaron Gordon could make a comeback after missing the last 10 or so days of action. His physicality could come in handy as the Nuggets battle Porzingis down low. Denver isn’t really known for their three-point shooting, but they do a very solid job at defending the perimeter with opponents shooting just 35.5% against them in games. That number is down to 32.3% over their last 3 games, if they can maintain that in Tuesday’s game they’ll be in a solid position. It’ll be interesting to see how the Celtics respond after such a tough loss, they have just 6 wins in their last 20 visits to Denver.
