Cleveland Cavaliers vs Miami Heat: Current situation
At 50-10 it’s safe to say there is no catching the Cleveland Cavaliers atop of the Eastern Conference this season. This team successfully passed their big test over the weekend taking down the Boston Celtics on the road 123-116, further increasing their lead atop of the standings. They are on a 10 game win streak right now, while in home games they’ve lost on 4 times in 32 outings so far.
The Heat have fallen off drastically since they traded away Jimmy Butler, but they are slowly recovering with 3 wins in 4 games. Granted, two of those wins were against sub .500 teams in Atlanta and Washington, but the way things are going right now the Miami Heat fans will get anything they can.
Cleveland Cavaliers Stats & Form
A big time performance from De’Andre Hunter who had 32 points carried the Cleveland Cavaliers to another win on Sunday as they beat the Portland Trail Blazers 132-129 in OT. Without Donovan Mitchell the Cavaliers struggled at times to get points, finishing the game shooting just 43% from the field which is below their standards. Still, they got 6 players total to score in double figures, Ty Jerome chipped in 25 off the bench which is encouraging.
Miami Heat Stats & Form
Playing the lowly Washington Wizards came at the perfect time for the Miami Heat who are desperate to get something going. Bam Adebayo continued his solid play with 19 points and 15 rebounds, as the Heat excelled defensively holding the Wizards to just 36 points in the first half and 90 for the game. Granted, games played against Washington aren’t necessarily a measuring stick, but all wins count the same in the NBA.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Miami Heat: Head-to-Head
The two teams have split the two meetings this season, with Cleveland winning the most recent one by 20 points. However, prior to that win we saw Miami take 3 in a row and win the regular season series last year. The Heat have enjoyed more success in regular season games, they’ve won 80 of the 132 meetings so far.

Betting tip and prediction: Cleveland Cavaliers vs Miami Heat (05.03.2025)
Tyler Herro really went off in the one win that the Miami Heat have over the Cavaliers this season, he scored 34 points, including 5 threes made. A lot has happened since then, the Heat traded away their best player Jimmy Butler and they also lost the 2nd meeting to the Cavaliers by 20 points at the end of January. It could once again be a struggle for them as the three-point shot has fallen off a bit over the last 2 games vs the Knicks and Wizards. In order to be competitive with these Cavaliers shooting the three-ball at a high level is a must and Miami just hasn’t done that over their last 10 games, apart from a couple of exceptions. Meanwhile, the Cavaliers continued to be red hot winning their 10th game in a row in OT over the Blazers. Donovan Mitchell skipped that game due to fatigue, but he should be back in the line-up here which gives the Cavs a massive boost. Some analysts have given Cleveland an 85% chance to win this game, so it would be a massive upset if Miami were to get anything here. We are of the belief that as long as the Cavs are winning we shouldn’t shy away from betting on them to cover. So let’s back the home team here.
