Cleveland has struggled in the clutch, all 3 of those losses were within 4 or less points. The one that sticks out was against Philadelphia where they knocked down 25 threes and still lost.

The Pistons also lost entering Monday’s game, as Orlando beat them 121-113 on Saturday. Cade Cunningham once again had a stellar night with 35 points and 11 assists, but the defense was nowhere to be seen in the 4th quarter as Orlando put 42 points past the Pistons. The loss stings since at one point in the game the Pistons were up by 12 and still couldn’t hold on.

We must admit seeing the Cavaliers lose 3 games in a row is very unusual after seeing them win 36 of their first 42 games. A bounce back performance is on the cards though, it’s only a matter of time. All 3 games that they’ve lost were within a couple of possessions, so there isn’t a big sense of urgency that all of a sudden they’ve forgotten how to play. The offense has continued to click even during these difficult times, we just saw the Cavs knock down 25 threes in their game against Philadelphia. Evan Mobley also returned to the line-up after missing a few games with injury. As time goes on he will regain his form and the Cavaliers defense will recover. Detroit has had a fairytale season so far, but this team relies too much on just one player to keep them afloat. Cade Cunningham has had a stunning year, likely making the All-Star team. However, in order to beat this Cavs team you have to be equipped with a lot more than just one superstar. The Pistons do have a positive road record at 13-11 SU, but as we saw in their latest loss at Orlando on Saturday other than Cunningham there’s not many options on offense when the game is on the line. Cleveland is playing at home here, backed by a sold out arena they will bounce back here and beat the Pistons by double-digits. Let’s back the home team to cover.
