Cameroon vs Ghana Game Preview
The Indomitable Lions opened the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations with a 2-0 victory over Guinea Bissau and are at the top thanks to a draw between Ghana and Benin. Ghana dropped a 2-1 lead in the second half and earned a point in the end after John Boye’s red card in the 55th minute. This tilt could decide the first place in Group F, and Cameroon will likely secure the top spot with three points.
Cameroon Team News and Latest Form
Cameroon made a strong start to their Africa Cup of Nations campaign and can now boast a run of four games without defeat (W3, D1). Notably, they opened the scoring in three of the four matches while also netting two or more goals in three of the four.
Although the Indomitable Lions have been in decent form, their matches have been far from blockbusters. Across their previous ten international games, both teams scored on just three occasions while there were over 2.5 match goals only twice. Despite this, across that ten-game run, there was just one goalless game.
Defender Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui is always a threat from set-pieces, and he netted when these two sides last met in 2017. Only one of Cameroon’s last five goals conceded have come in the opening 30 minutes.
Ghana Team News and Latest Form
Ghana could manage only a draw in their AFCON opener (2-2), yet they can still boast a record of just one defeat in six international matches (W3, D2, L1). Key to their relative decent run of form has been starting fast. Of their previous eight goals scored, four have come in the opening 30 minutes – although they did concede at least one goal in response in two of those four goals.
Brothers Jordan Ayew and Andre Ayew both got on the scoresheet in Ghana’s AFCON opener on Tuesday and will be looking to outdo each other in the competition’s scoring charts. Three of Ghana’s last four wins have been to nil.
Cameroon vs Ghana Head to Head
James Kwesi Appiah’s side hasn’t beaten their opponents in any of the previous four H2H meetings (W2, D2). In a similar manner to Tuesday’s win, when these sides last met, Cameroon netted two goals after the 65th minute to secure a 2-0 victory. Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui and Christian Bassogog were on the score sheet in that game. Cameroon allowed only one goal in those four encounters and scored four in return.
Cameroon vs Ghana Betting Tip
Cameroon scored two or more goals in three of their previous four matches and the only time when they scored just one; they played a draw with Mali. Ghana have some good players up front and the ability to unlock any defence and considering they must try to find the back of the net here, I am backing both teams to score at excellent 6/5 odds with bet365.

My additional pick would be a draw as I cannot separate these teams at the moment and it seems that the Cameroonians would be satisfied with a point. You can back a draw at 15/8 and BTTS on separate single bets while you can also try with a combo of Draw/BTTS at 7/2 but go with a lower stake.
