Cambridge v Notts County Betting Tip

Cambridge have the chance to make it three league wins on the trot after securing a good 3-1 home success over Grimsby on the weekend. All that would do would solidify their chances of getting a top half of the table finish really. As for County, they are looking comfortable in the play offs but still could easily have a run at automatic promotion if they could get up a head of steam.

Cambridge Form:

The U’s have won back to back league games now, scoring three goals in both of those successes over Chesterfield and Grimsby. That’s a bit of a surprise as they haven’t been known for their prolific scoring this term. Their success on the weekend over Grimsby moved them to superb five-match unbeaten streak at home and overall are W9 D4 L3 at the Abbey Stadium. Six of the nine wins that they have collected there have been by a one-goal margin only, so that’s a decent proposition to consider for this midweek duel with County. Defensively they have been superb with only twelve goals conceded in sixteen home games. That’s a clean sheet that they have taken in eight of their home fixtures which is a fantastic percentage. Nine of Cambridge’s home games this season have been at 0-0 at half time.

Notts County Form:

County were held to a 0-0 draw at Newport on the weekend to move them onto a W2 D1 L1 record in their last four league games. The draw in South Wales though leaves them winless in their last four on the road, collecting only the two points in that sequence and they have failed to score in three of those four as well. So this is likely to be a low scoring game and under 2.5 goals has to be value. Just 38% of their away games this season have made it over 2.5 goals. There has also been a heavy trend of second half of goals in their away games, Country scoring 65% of their away goals after half time and conceding 68% of their away goals after the break. County are just pretty much in a position where they are comfortable inside the top six by a win here puts them to within a point of the automatic promotion spots.

Cambridge v Notts County Head to Head News:

The U’s have won their last two home games against County now, scoring seven goals in the process. They have netted at least two goals in four of their last five League Two games against the Magpies. Overall from the previous seven League Two meetings, Cambridge have a positive W4 D2 L1 record going against Notts County. They are unbeaten in three at home against them.

Top Cambridge v Notts County Betting Tip:

The U’s may be a bit of value to collect a good point for themselves in this one. They are doing alright at the moment and have been doing so at home. A bit of tiredness has to be taken into consideration after the weekend and a 1-1 draw may not be a bad option as the game peters out.
