Betting tip and prediction: Boston Celtics vs Denver Nuggets (02.03.2025)
It’s not often we get to see the defending champions face adversity this season, but this is certainly one of those few cases. They’ve lost back-to-back games for only the 2nd time this season, they are yet to lose 3 in a row which puts a bit of pressure on them to respond. Boston did win the first meeting by double-digits, but the Nuggets were without their best player Jokic in that game and we all know how much he means to this franchise. Jayson Tatum played his heart out in the loss to Cleveland scoring 46 points, this being an early tip-off might have a negative effect on his conditioning here. Jamal Murray will be the x-factor for the Nuggets, he’s really elevated his game over the past month or so, averaging 24.6 points per game in his last 9 outings on almost 54% shooting. Murray is looking like the player he was during the Nuggets championship run and if that continues moving forward, Denver just might be the team to beat in the Western Conference come playoff time. This promises to be a close game, as both teams are in-form, but we are giving a slight edge to the Nuggets here. The Cs simply don’t have an answer for Nikola Jokic, so expect another triple-double like performance from the Serbian MVP and the Nuggets covering the spread here.
