It’s a busy midweek of Premier League action, with a full round of fixtures taking place across Tuesday and Wednesday night. The biggest game of the week is taking place at Wembley Stadium where Tottenham Hotspur are hosting Manchester United in a colossal clash between two exciting sides. That is just one of the games that will feature in this Big Odds 4-Fold bet. All of the odds in this article come courtesy of Coral and are accurate at the time of writing.
Everton vs Leicester City
After a really promising start to life under Sam Allardyce, Everton have begun to slide back into the poor form of the early parts of the season. Only Brighton and Huddersfield Town have been in worse form over the past five matches and Allardyce will be hoping for a change in fortunes on Wednesday night. They will come up against a solid Leicester City side who find themselves up in 7th place in the table after losing just three of their last 13 matches in all competitions. I fancy Everton to turn things around on Wednesday though and after having the weekend off, they should be fresh and well drilled for the visit of Leicester City.
Everton to win – 2/1
Southampton vs Brighton & Hove Albion
This clash between two South Coast sides at St. Mary’s Stadium doesn’t scream excitement, but the odds available on a home win here make it a decent addition to the coupon. Both of these sides are in rotten form right now and are without a win from their last ten combined matches. Goals have been a problem for both of these teams, but with new striker, Guido Carillo, in line to make his debut for Southampton on Wednesday, I’m backing them to win this one.
Southampton to win – 3/4
Newcastle United vs Burnley
Burnley are another side on the slide, with no wins from their last five matches and just two in the last ten, they are dropping like a stone right now. On Wednesday night they travel to St. James’ Park to take on a Newcastle United side who are looking to avoid a relegation battle. Takeover talks seem to have gone very quiet for The Magpies and fans will be desperate for the club to bring in some attacking reinforcements this month. This is another game which I don’t think will be pretty, but I’m backing Newcastle United to pick up a hugely important victory in this one.
Newcastle United to win – 23/20
Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United
This is the big game this week; 5th vs 2nd, Pochettino vs Mourinho, Kane vs Lukaku. There should be plenty of excitement on show at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday night in a game which neither side can really afford to lose. If Spurs lose here, they could well find themselves five points outside the Champions League places and with a tough game against Liverpool to come. I’m backing Manchester United to pick up an away win here though and with Alexis Sanchez now in their side, I think it could be an exciting few months for fans of United.
Manchester United to win – 11/5
Total 4-Fold – 35/1 (Coral)
