Following two action packed days of World Cup Qualifiers taking place across Europe, the games continue on Saturday evening with the likes of Belgium, Portugal, Holland and France all in action. England sealed their qualification for next summer’s tournament with a last gasp 1-0 victory against Slovenia on Thursday night and there will be a whole host of teams hoping to join them on Saturday. In this preview I’ll be building you a BIG ODDS 4-fold bet to take advantage of with all of the odds courtesy of Ladbrokes and accurate at the time of writing.
Belarus v Holland
Holland are in real danger of missing out on another major tournament following their failure to qualify for EURO 2016 and they currently find themselves in 3rd place in Group A, three points behind second placed Sweden with just two games left to play. On Saturday they face bottom side Belarus and the Dutch really need a big boost to their goal difference if they are to have any chance of qualifying and so I’m backing them to pick up a large victory in this one.
Holland (-2) – 2/9
Bosnia-Herzegovina v Belgium
The top two sides in Group H take each other on in this game, with Belgium having already qualified. Bosnia on the other hand are in a real battle with Greece to finish as runners up and they currently lead the Greeks by a solitary point. Bosnia know that they can ill afford to drop points against Belgium, but I think they’ll find it hard against a Belgium side who have won seven of their eight games so far, drawing just one and scoring 35 goals in the process. I’m backing the Belgians in this one, despite already having qualified.
Belgium to win – 23/20
Cyprus v Greece
The other big game in Group H sees Cyprus host Greece in a crunch fixture for both sides. They will be hoping that Belgium do them a favour in the other match and a win for Greece coupled with anything other than a win for Bosnia would see the Greeks move up into second place. Cyprus are also not out of things yet and a win for them could see them move level on points with Greece and just a point behind Bosnia. Greece have failed to win any of their last five games in the group, drawing four of them and I’m going for another draw in this one.
Draw – 5/2
Andorra v Portugal
Cristiano Ronaldo and his Portugal team take on the minnows of Andorra on Saturday and they will be hoping for a big victory in this one. Portugal have scored 28 goals in eight games so far, whilst Andorra have conceded 18 and I can’t see anything other than a big win here for Ronaldo and his compatriots.
Portugal (-2) – 1/40
Total 4-Fold – 30/1 (Ladbrokes)
