Non-league side Woking get a shot against League One side Peterborough in the second round of the FA Cup. Naturally, Woking are going off as underdogs for the fixture, even though they are going on home soil in Surrey. The Posh are a top ten side up in League One and so that is a big gap in quality that Woking are going to have to overcome. But this it the FA Cup and it is a game like this which make it so endearingly popular. Peterborough are 1/2 odds on favourites to bank the win and hit the third round.

Woking Form
Woking are just inside of the top ten in National League but they have found wins hard to come by there recently, with just the one in their last six. The Cardinals have not done much winning at all since around mid-October really as they have gone W2 D5 L4 in their last eleven games. One of the wins in that sequence was in the first round of the FA Cup when they took a great 3-0 win at League One strugglers Bury. So they have had a taste of FA Cup magic already. Their form at home this season isn’t bad really with a W7 D4 L2 record all term and they have only failed to score in one of those games. They have only netted exactly one goal in six of their last seven on home soil.
Peterborough Form
A tricky tie for Peterborough then but they can boast the superior scoring power. The Posh have netted at least two goals in four of their last five road games and they piled five of them past Tranmere in the last round of the FA Cup. They have collected three clean sheets in their last five road games but what may cause this tie to be a bit tight is that the League One outfit have won only two of their last ten road games in all competitions, but the two wins in that sequence happened in cup games. So a little bit of a banana skin for them against the Cardinals but they probably should just have the edge.
Head to Head News
This will be the first competitive clash between the two sides.
Top Betting Tips
Peterborough haven’t done much winning out on the road and they will be taking on a side who have done alright at home this season, albeit a couple of tiers lower than the Posh. That should be telling at the end of the day and Peterborough to get a 2-1 correct score victory has appeal because Woking have been scoring at home but may just fall short.
