After such as a strong start of the new season, Swindon strangely came unravelled last weekend in a shock defeat against the struggling Crawley. So the Robins will be very keen to make some amends for that disappointment and drive home three points here. Barnet have had their struggles already this season and they could be staring down the barrel of a third league defeat in a row as they to the west country on the weekend. Swindon are a solid 11/10 price to take the win at the County Ground, with Barnet a big 5/2 punt.
Swindon Form
The Robins went unbeaten across their first three games of the season with a W2 D1 record so it was surprising that they lost against struggles Crawley last weekend. But maybe that will have shaken any complacency out of them and they are still in touch with the front runners. But it means that from their two home games in the league this season, they have only taken a point which was from a 1-1 draw with Exeter. They have yet to give their home support anything to cheer about.
Barnet Form
The Bees started well enough with four points from their opening two games which included a great win over Luton. However, they have slumped to back to back 1-0 defeats against Crewe and Stevenage so the goals and a winning touch has deserted them. Away from home, they have one point from their two games, which came in a draw at Forest Green on the opening weekend of the season. They have yet to wake up as an attacking unit so far.
Head to Head News
Swindon have won three of their last four on home soil against the Bees, with a draw in the other one. So they have solid home form and have taken a clean sheet in their last two victories at the County Ground over Barnet. This will be the first meeting since the 2011/12 season when these two met four times last season and Swindon posted a W3 D1 record across the league and JP Trophy meetings, conceding just the one goal in that sequence of games. It means Barnet are winless in six games against the Robins.
Top Betting Tips
Neither of these have produced a great deal of attacking potency so this should be a low scoring game so under 2.5 goals is going to have appeal out of the game at 5/6 with bet365. Swindon though have produced a little more of a winning edge and with good form over Barnet at the County Ground, can land a narrow win in this one.
