Betting Tip: QPR v Brentford

QPR will be out seeking a major upturn in form as they play hosts to the Bees on Monday night in the Championship. The R’s need a win in this one to arrest a three-match losing slump that they have fallen into in the second tier. That will be easier said than done though because Brentford have proven a tough side to beat over the last couple of months and they are going as 11/8 favourites to pick the maximum points at Loftus Road, leaving QPR as 13/10 home underdogs.

QPR Form

There hasn’t been much form from QPR since November rolled around. They have lost all three league games played so far this month and they have only netted the one goal in that sequence of games while shipping eight in total. QPR are struggling a bit in front of goal and only in one of their last eleven league games have they managed more than one goal in a game and they have only taken the three clean sheets all season home and away. The R’s have collected two wins in their last six home games (D2 L2) and each of their last four league victories have all been by a one-goal margin. It’s debatable as to whether or not they will have enough firepower to take down the Bees.

Brentford Form

Brentford have lost just one of their last eleven league games now, winning five of those so they have been going pretty well. The loss that they suffered in the sequence was out on the road at Cardiff who are going strong near the top of the table. The Bees have started to bring their shooting boots a little more often to the party as they have netted at least two goals in four of their last six victories and they are also running in good away form with a W3 D1 L1 record in their last five on the road. Brentford have scored at least two goals in four of those games as well. So they are ticking over pretty nicely. They are still only a couple of points above the R’s in the bottom half of the table, but that’s because they failed to win any of their opening eight matches this term.

Head to Head News

The form is with the Bees in this one as well as they have won their last three games against QPR including a 4-1 victory at Loftus Road in the EFL Cup this season. They have lost just one of their last six against the R’s overall home and away in all competitions. They have won their last two trips to QPR.

Top Betting Tips

Brentford should have the advantage in this one as they have been carrying some very good form and they have been really hard to beat. They have been scoring well away from home and with QPR just on a bad roll at the moment, consider the Bees to get a victory but perhaps by nothing more than the one-goal margin.
