Group B leaders PSG take on Anderlecht in the Champions League next week, with the French giants securing their progress to the next round with another three points. With their Belgian opponents having failed to collect a single point in Europe so far this season, it is the Ligue 1 club who are the overwhelming favourites for victory.

Match Preview: Paris Saint Germain vs Anderlecht
With PSG having comfortably defeated Anderlecht in Belgium just last week, the two teams meet again in the French capital, with Unai Emery’s men hoping to confirm their participation in the latter stages of Europe’s premier club competition. The visitors have struggled to find any sort of form in a group containing Bayern Munich and Celtic, with manager Hein Vanhaezebrouck facing the daunting task of taking his team to one of the continent’s most in-form team.
Paris Saint Germain Team News & Form
A last-minute Edison Cavani goal meant that PSG kept up their unbeaten record in the French top-flight this season at Marseille at the weekend, with Emery’s men having already built a four-point gap between themselves and reigning champions Monaco. Their form in Europe has been equally as impressive, with the French side having scored 12 goals in their three games to date, without conceding once.
Neymar Jr, despite being sent off against Marseille, Cavani and Kylian Mbappe are expected to once again line-up in attack, with the trio having scored nine of their 12 goals between them. Meanwhile, Brazilian duo Dani Alves and Lucas Moura face a race against time to prove their fitness for the match.
Anderlecht Team News & Form
Without a goal in their three matches, Anderlecht are playing purely for a place in the Europa League now, with manager Vanhaezebrouck under pressure to ensure that his side put in a battling display in Paris. Their form is not promising however, with Anderlecht having lost to rivals Genk in the Belgian top-flight on Sunday evening. Striker Lukasz Teodorczyk will be hoping to add to his goal tally in Paris, while the likes of Sofiane Hanni and Henry Onyekuru could well provide more attacking options for the visitors.
Head to Head
Before last week’s meeting in Belgium, where PSG came out on top by a scoreline of 4-0, the duo had met on two occasions, with PSG collecting four points from such meetings. However, the last time the two clubs met in Paris, a goalless draw was played out, offering hope for the visitors this time around.
