Newport’s four match unbeaten start to the season was snapped with a loss at current league leaders Exeter last weekend, the Exiles going down 1-0. In their other four games they have picked up a W2 D2 record and this will be just their second home game of the season. Their only other one so far produced a big 4-1 win over Chesterfield. They have remained perfect away from home so far with wins over Port Vale and Grimsby, both of those victories coming by a 3-2 scoreline. It’s important that their scoring remains strong because they have the third worst defence in the division.
