Manchester City are looking to continue their miraculous form this season which has seen them go unbeaten in all competitions. On Tuesday night they welcome a struggling Feyenoord side to The Etihad Stadium and Pep Guardiola will be confident of picking up another comfortable victory. Manchester City have a perfect record in Europe this season, winning all four of their matches by an aggregate score of 12-3, whilst Feyenoord have the exact opposite record, having lost all four of their games by an aggregate score of 12-3.

Manchester City
Manchester City picked up another comfortable victory this weekend with a 2-0 win against Leicester City thanks to goals from Kevin de Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus. Having already qualified Pep Guardiola will likely make a few changes for Tuesday’s game with Sergio Aguero likely to come in for Gabriel Jesus in attack. John Stones picked up an injury at the weekend, so Elaquim Mangala will likely deputise at centre half alongside Vincent Kompany.
Feyenoord
Feyenoord have really struggled this season, both domestically and in Europe. After winning the Dutch league last season they now find themselves down in 6th place, 11 points behind leaders PSV. They come into this game with something of an injury crisis in defence with Jan-Arie van der Heijden, Mats Knoester and Eric Botteghin all likely to miss out through injury. The club managed by former Arsenal defender Gio van Bronkhorst will surely find things tough going in Manchester on Tuesday.
Talking Points
- Manchester City are scoring an average of three goals per game in all competitions this season.
- City rank first in the Premier League for shooting accuracy and shot conversion and have faced the fewest shots.
- Kevin de Bruyne is now favourite to win the PFA Player of the Year award with the Belgian midfielder finding himself in superb form this season.
Prediction
Even if Manchester City make changes in this game, it’s hard to foresee anything other than a comfortable victory for Pep Guardiola’s side. The Citizens have been superb this season, sweeping aside all before them and I can’t see a struggling Feyenoord side stopping that run on Tuesday night.
Betting Tips (Ladbrokes)
The odds for this game reflect Manchester City’s likely dominance with them starting as 1/7 favourites for the win, whilst an away win for Feyenoord is available at 25/1 and the draw at 17/2. Obviously there is no value in betting on a straight Manchester City win here, but a bet that could be more interesting is the (-2) handicap on Manchester City at 8/11. I fancy them to score at least three times in this one and that looks like a much more interesting bet to me. Another bet that has caught my eye is Sergio Aguero to score first at 11/5; the Argentinian will likely start the game after sitting on the bench at the weekend and he will be licking his lips at the prospect of facing this makeshift Feyenoord defence.
