Lincoln are well positioned for an assault at promotion this season up to League One, but they did lose their last outing against leaders Luton which is totally inexcusable. So they will be hoping to get back immediately to winning ways, but here they face second-placed Notts County.

Lincoln Form
The Imps had a good unbeaten streak of form snapped on New Year’s Day as they fell to a defeat at leaders Luton, and there’s no shame in that of course. It leaves them with a good record of W5 D1 L1 in their last even league games still and that loss against Luton was away, meaning that Lincoln are on a four-match winning streak at Sincil Bank. They have taken a clean sheet in four of their last six games home and away and their defence is going to have to be on point in this one as they face a good Notts County side. Going forward, Lincoln have scored at least two goals in each of their last four home games and across the season they average 1.5 goals per game on home soil, having conceded just nine in 13 home games. They have not been trailing at half time in any home game.
Notts County Form
Notts County are bang in form as well with only the one loss since a defeat out at Crewe back in mid-October. That defeat did happen in their last away game though as they were toppled 1-0 at Swindon who aren’t a great home side. That leaves County with just the one win in their last eight away games so, despite their lofty position in the division, they are a little unreliable on the road it would seem. That is just what Lincoln want to hear. Just 38% of their away games have managed to produce more than two goals this season. There is really little to choose between these and it should be tight all the way. Lewis Alessandra has netted three goals in his last two away games for County so may be worth a poke in the anytime goalscorer market, while Jorge Grant has two in two as well for them.
Head to Head News
Notts County stormed to a 4-1 home win over Lincoln earlier in the season and that is a three-match winning streak that they are on against the Imps, unbeaten in four in league contests. Each of the last four meetings have gone over 2.5 goals so that’s not a bad trend to consider in this one. Lincoln are W2 D2 L2 in their six previous League Two home games against County.
Lincoln v Notts County – Betting Odds and Predictions
Notts County have been a tough side to knock off all season, but they just go as 21/10 underdogs for the match up, with Lincoln in at 7/5.
Top Betting Tips Lincoln v Notts County
This is one of the toughest games of the weekend in League Two to call. Lincoln are a superb home side, while County have proven time and time again they are no pushovers. However, a recent away defeat for County at Swindon may suggest that there could be enough for the home side to get three points in a game which goes over 2.5 goals. They have the home form to pull it off and are at 7/5 with Ladbrokes.
