There will be some Friday night League Two action from the New Lawn to enjoy as Forest Green plays host to Swindon. This should be a good clash as well because Forest Green desperately need to find three points from somewhere to help them pull away from the bottom of the table. Swindon though have been carrying some pretty strong form out on the road this season and they will be kicking off as 11/8 favourites at William Hill, which is a fantastic price, with Rovers at 7/4 for a home victory.
Forest Green Form
Forest Green remain stuck in the weeds near the foot of the table. They have posted a W1 D2 L5 record so far this season and they are finding the going tough having stepped up a tier. But they picked up a point on the weekend, albeit at bottom side Port Vale which has to have been a golden opportunity for three points having slipped through their fingers. At home so far Rovers have gone W1 D1 L2, losing their last two there against Exeter and Lincoln. The goals are just about there, defensively they haven’t been.
Swindon Form
The Robins have won three of their four away games this season, losing the other one (at Notts County). So it has been a pretty solid return from them really and in each of their three away games so far they were ahead at the break. Their only away loss happened after they were behind at the break. So there’s something in that maybe. Swindon’s Luke Norris has been banging the goals in for fun lately and he is a great 13/8 option in the anytime goalscorer market.
Head to Head News
This will be the first competitive game between the two clubs so there’s no previous head to head to look at.
Top Betting Tips
Swindon defensively are not one of the best sides around, but they are taking on the joint-worst defence in this one at the New Lawn. The visitors have shown enough form out on the road already this season to suggest that they can collect three points in this one and there is value enough in the match outright on them to do so.
