Exeter have battled their way to four points from their opening two games and have the chance to further stake a claim on the top six as they get a home game against Lincoln on the weekend. The Imps have drawn both of their opening games of the new season so far, so are on the hunt for their first victory. The visitors start down in 19th in the league but if they were to win they would jump above Exeter who starts the afternoon in seventh. The Grecians have good home form going against Lincoln and they are some appealing value at 11/10 to record the win in this one, with the Imps trading at 12/5.
Exeter Form
The Grecians started their new season with a win on home soil over Cambridge, edging the points with a 1-0 victory. Then they went to Swindon last weekend and picked up a point in a 1-1 draw having taken the lead in the match. Exeter finished fifth in last season’s League Two and produced plenty of scoring power. So they will want to start stepping on the gas again a bit in that respect. It’s been almost a decade since they have played host to Lincoln though. Last season they weren’t great on home soil but recovered well to W8 D5 L10 after losing seven of their first eight at St James Park. Give them the way that the season has started for Exeter, this could be a pretty tight, low scoring game.
Lincoln Form
Lincoln have earned draws against Wycombe and Morecambe so far in their new League Two campaign. So that’s not a bad start from them having come up from the National League last season. So they look as if they have some resilience in them that’s for sure and that could make life difficult for Exter. But the question will remain, do they have enough to put a lot of away wins on the board this season?
Head to Head News
The last time that these two faced off in league competition was back in the 2008/09 League Two Season. Exeter won both of those games by a one goal margin. They have lost just one of their last seven against Lincoln and on home soil, they have an unbeaten stretch of form going against the Imps of five games (W2 D3). Six of the last seven contests that these two have played have produced less than three goals.

This has a low scoring game written all over it and under 2.5 goals at 4/5 looks to be a good banker this weekend at 10Bet. If you want to push and find a winner then it is probably just worth edging the home side. They had a high finish last season, have started solidly and an Exeter 1-0 correct score is a tempting proposition at 13/2. Other than that, they are 11/10 value in the match outright.
