Betting Tip: Coventry v Exeter

The Sky Blues are nestled inside the top six in League Two but that is despite some slightly indifferent form lately with three defeats in their last six games. They are struggling for goals compared to the rest of the top six sides currently in the division. Exeter are top of the pile and going so strongly and they claimed yet another win on the weekend as they cruised to a home victory over Crewe. There doesn’t appear to be any stopping them at the moment and they are 21/10 prospect to win this, with Coventry at 13/10 at Netbet.

Coventry Form

The Sky Blues have posted a good W3 L0 record at home this season and they are on a two-match winning streak at the Ricoh Arena. Each of their home wins this season have been with a clean sheet and defensively they are very, very sound. They have conceded just five goals all season and that is four clean sheets in the bag from eight games. They have just lacked finishing power at times to back that up but that has started to improve at home recently.

Exeter Form

Exeter are steaming along at the moment with a fantastic six-match winning streak going. They are scoring left right and centre at the moment and have netted at least two goals in four of their last five games and have scored at least three goals in three of their last five. Away from home, they have won their last three in a row (both teams scored in each of them) and the streak followed a draw at Swindon in their opening away game. They are yet to be behind at half-time in an away game this season.

Head to Head News

The last time that these two met was back in 2014 in the KP Trophy. Coventry won 3-1 on home soil in that clash. That has been the only meeting between them since the 1958/59 old English Division Four.

Top Betting Tips

Exeter are brimming with confidence at the moment and even though two of their three wins on the road have been against struggling sides, they just seem to have an answer to whatever anyone throws at them. Coventry’s home form has picked up and they are defensively solid enough to keep this under 2.5 goals, but they may find it hard to outscore the visitors in this one. Away win.
