Betting Tip: Coventry v Accrington

Coventry had a blip last weekend as they went to the struggling Forest Green and suffered a 2-1 loss which not many people would have seen coming really. But they are a very strong home side at the moment and will be looking to extend a good winning streak that they have going at the Ricoh Arena.

Coventry Form

The Sky Blues have won four of their last six games and it is their home form which really stands out. They are on a five-match winning streak at the Ricoh Arena, going unbeaten in six there. They have scored at least two goals in four of their last five wins as well so this has every chance of being a high scoring game. Coventry’s season has largely been built on the back of a great defence but they are without a clean sheet in four now so both teams to score has to offer a bit of appeal. Coventry’s home form is W10 D2 L3 for the season and in that run, they have scored 22 goals and have conceded only the nine. That’s a brilliant defensive effort from them and the Sky Blues are on a six-match scoring streak at home. This should be a really good duel between these two.

Accrington Form

Stanley are in great form at the moment with six wins in their last seven League Two fixtures. They have been in great scoring form as well with at least two goals in each of those six wins in that sequence. Eight of their last nine games have gone over 2.5 goals and there’s no reason to expect that streak to dry up in this one. They have proven themselves in a couple of tricky fixtures against Stevenage and Swindon this week, but this will be the toughest away game that they have faced for a while. It is well worth jumping on both teams to score for the fixture. Accrington hold a W7 D2 L6 away record this season and 60% of their road games have made it over 2.5 goals and just over a quarter of them have gone above 3.5 goals. Accrington have scored in 80% of their away matches and this may well be the match of the weekend. Only Mansfield have current better form than Stanley do in the last eight matches.

Head to Head News

Accrington were 1-0 home winners over the Sky Blues back in mid-October and that snapped a three-match losing streak that they were on against Coventry. This will be only the sixth game between the two clubs and from those previous five, it is Coventry who are 3-2 up in the head to head.

Coventry v Accrington – Betting Odds and Predictions

Accrington did a great job for themselves in midweek as they took out Swindon to make it back to back leagues win for them. The Sky Blues have won their two previous home games against Stanley, both 2-1 victories.

Top Betting Tip Coventry v Accrington

The Sky Blue were tripped up on the weekend out at relegation-threatened Forest Green and this is a big game for them now to get themselves back into the play off picture. They really have to deliver in this one and they are carrying the home form to do so. Stanley’s extra midweek game won’t help them out in this one.
