Betting Tip: Cambridge v Lincoln

Cambridge are on a poor slide now with three straight league defeats and no win in any of their last five games. They aren’t in any immediate peril of getting sucked into the relegation battle, but they will want to steady the ship.

Cambridge Form

Cambridge are on a three-match losing streak and are winless in five. Worryingly it hasn’t been that tough of a run of games for them either aside from a trip to Coventry. The U’s lost 2-0 at Yeovil last weekend, a side beneath them in the table but each of those defeats in that streak were all away from home. They are actually unbeaten in three on home soil now and have lost only one of their last eight at the Abbey Stadium. So they are still going to have a bit of appeal to some punters, especially with a great W8 D3 L3 home record this season. They have four clean sheets as well in their last six home games and while they facing a good side, that should be a good enough record to keep this game under 2.5 goals. The U’s have only conceded eleven goals in fourteen home games this season with a clean sheet in exactly half of their Abbey Stadium fixtures.

Lincoln Form

The Imps are now unbeaten in four games in the league but have drawn three of those four. They had a great ding-dong battle with Swindon last weekend which ended in a 2-2 draw. They are W1 D2 L1 in their last four away games so it’s not overly convincing from them and in their last road game they were held to a 1-1 draw against bottom side Barnet which was a bit of a shocker. There has been no clean sheet for Lincoln in their last six league games now which was after a four-match run of clean sheets. They are taking on a good defence that Cambridge have, so both teams not to score should have some appeal here. Just 36% of Lincoln’s away games have produced more than two goals this season. Lincoln are on a seven-match scoring streak in the league, but have conceded in each of their last six. It all points to his being a pretty tight game.

Head to Head News

Cambridge held out for a 0-0 draw out at Lincoln earlier in the season and that was another low scoring affair between the two of those. In the last four meetings, there have been just the two goals scored in total and things are even from that with one each and two drawn matches. Cambridge have won their last three home games against the Imps, conceding just the one goal in that sequence of games.

Cambridge v Lincoln  – Betting Odds and Predictions

Lincoln are unbeaten in their last four games now but have just been missing a little bit of a winning touch having drawn three of those four games.

Top Betting Tip Cambridge v Lincoln

This has a draw written all over it. Cambridge’s recent collapses have all been out on the road and they can hold their own at the Abbey Stadium against Lincoln who have fallen into a habit of drawing games.
