Atlanta Hawks vs Golden State Warriors: Current situation
With just 13 games remaining the Atlanta Hawks find themselves in 7th place in the Eastern Conference, the play-in tournament seems like a realistic scenario for them as the 6th seeded Pistons are 5.5 games ahead. This team has been stuck in mediocrity for quite some time now, even if they make the playoffs as the 7th seed that would likely pit them against the defending champions Celtics which would result in a 1st round exit.
Losing Stephen Curry to a pelvic injury comes at the worst time possible for the Warriors who are just starting a 6-game road trip. Over their last 10 games the Warriors have won 9 of them, but all of the momentum seems to have been lost after Curry went down in the win over Toronto. Thankfully the injury isn’t one that will see him miss more than a couple of weeks, so Curry should be ready in time for the postseason.
Atlanta Hawks Stats & Form
Looking at the Hawks recent form we can see that they’ve actually won 3 of their last 5 games. However, that is slightly masked with the fact that 2 of those wins were against the Charlotte Hornets and the other one was against the Philadelphia 76ers. Ahead of Saturday’s game they have Clint Capela, Caris LeVert on the injury report, they could join the already absent Larry Nance Jr. and Jalen Johnson.
Golden State Warriors Stats & Form
Jimmy Butler took it upon himself to carry the Warriors on his back after Curry went down in the game against Toronto. Butler finished with a 18 point ,11 rebounds and 12 assists triple-double, his 2nd since joining the team from Miami at the trade deadline. Draymond Green also turned back the clock with 21 points and 7 rebounds, it’ll be interesting to see if these numbers can hold up with their best player being out in these next few games.
Atlanta Hawks vs Golden State Warriors: Head-to-Head
Golden State and Atlanta have faced off 301 times in the regular season so far, the Warriors hold a slim lead with 153 wins to Atlanta’s 148 wins. Neither team has been able to sweep the regular season series in recent season, this has happened only once since the turn of the decade with Atlanta doing so in the 2020-21 season.

Betting tip and prediction: Atlanta Hawks vs Golden State Warriors (22.03.2025)
The first meeting between these two teams was played back in mid-November and the Warriors came out on top 120-97. Since then a lot has changed, especially on the Warriors side. Andrew Wiggins who had 27 points in that win has been traded for Jimmy Butler, so it’s safe to say we can expect a totally different game on Saturday. The main thing for the Warriors here is to contain Trae Young from getting his teammates involved. Judging by how Young’s numbers look in his las 10 meetings vs Butler, it is to be expected that the former Miami Heat will get that defensive assignment. Young is averaging just 21.1 points and 7.1 assists per game, while shooting just 40% in those 10 games. That in itself will be a major issue for Atlanta here, when Young isn’t producing on offense the entire team stagnates. Defensively the Hawks haven’t proven themselves at all when it comes to defending the perimeter this season. They allow the 3rd highest percentage of threes this season at 37.3%, that number has gone up to 42.4% over their 3 most recent games. Against Western Conference opponents they’ve won just once in 6 games, while against teams from the Pacific Division in their last 7 games they are just 1-6 ATS. Even though Curry will likely sit this one out, we still firmly believe the Warriors have enough to get the win and cover the spread here. Back Golden State.
