Accrington’s automatic promotion challenge is still well on at the moment as they took a very good win out at Coventry on the weekend to make it three league wins on the bounce for themselves. They get a nice home game in midweek to follow that up as well as they take on the struggling Crewe. The Railwaymen collected a precious point for themselves on the weekend, but they are still feeling the pressure of the relegation zone breathing down their neck.

Accrington Form:
Stanley made it three wins on the bounce in League Two on the weekend as they took a 2-0 win out at Coventry. That was another good success for them and it moves them on to a W7 L1 record in their last eight league games. They have some serious momentum going and that is now at least two goals they have netted in all but one of those eight games. It’s mightily impressive stuff and a 2-0 correct score in their favour has pretty solid appeal for the game. Accrington are also on a four-match winning streak of games on home soil in the league and overall at the Crown Ground are W10 D2 L3 for the season. They have also averaged over a goal per game at home this term and have scored in each of their last nine home fixtures in the division as well. It all stacks up to this looking like it will be something of a routine home victory in midweek.
Crewe Form:
Crewe played out a 0-0 draw with Yeovil on the weekend to snap a four-match losing streak that they were on. They are only the three points above the drop zone going into the midweek round of matches and their away form is pretty troubling. They are on a four-match losing sequence of matches on their travels in the division at the moment and there really is no sign of them being able to beat anyone from the top half of the table away from home. Overall Crewe have only won three times away from home as it is and they have conceded a massive thirteen goals in their last four road games. Their defence held out against Yeovil but it’s going to be a big ask for them to do so against Accrington. Crewe have managed only the 14 road goals this season but have conceded at an average of a shade under two goals per game away from home. They are without a clean sheet in their last four away games.
Head to Head News:
Crewe have actually won two of their last four visits to Accrington (W2 L2) but they lost this corresponding fixture last season. They also took a 2-0 home hit against Stanley this season which means that Crewe are on a three-match losing streak against Stanley at the moment. From the nine previous League Two clashes, things are even with four wins each and a draw. Accrington have won three of their four previous League Two home games against Crewe (L1).
Top Betting Tips:
Accrington look a pretty hot ticket at the moment and they should be a home banker in the round of midweek games in League Two. They are strong and powerful at home and they look good to take a comfortable 2-0 win and move on.
