AC Milan vs Lazio Betting Tip

Having met each other in Serie A on the weekend, AC Milan and Lazio will lock horns again on Wednesday night as they meet for the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final. Both teams will believe they have what it takes to win this first leg and take a lead with them to Rome for the second leg.

To win a trophy this season with AC Milan would mean a huge amount to Gennaro Gattuso and he will have his sights firmly set on this trophy with the league out of reach. Lazio still have Champions League qualification in their sights but a cup win would be massive.

AC Milan Form

AC Milan have turned things around in recent weeks and while it may be too late to mount a challenge for the Serie A title, they have plenty to play for in the Coppa Italia and Europa League.

The win over Lazio on Sunday means AC Milan are undefeated in their last 5 games in all competitions, winning 4 of them. There have been wins over Crotone, Cagliari and Lazio in Serie A but the big one was the 1-0 victory over Inter Milan in the Coppa Italia.

This was the result which kick-started AC Milan’s season and they will be hoping to continue their winning ways by taking a lead to Rome from this first leg. AC Milan have lost 1 of their last 8 home games in all competitions.

Lazio Form

Having seen Roma and Inter Milan drop points on the weekend, Lazio will be disappointed they did not take something from the match at the San Siro. However, they did create chances, especially in the second half and if it wasn’t for some wayward finishing and great saves from Gianluigi Donnarumma would have at least picked up a point from the game.

The loss to AC Milan on Sunday was their first in 9 matches and they will want to get back to winning ways quickly. Despite losing the match, Lazio did find the back of the net, something which they have become very good at this season.

Lazio have scored 14 goals in their last 4 matches and both teams have scored in 10 of their last 11 away games in all competitions.

AC Milan vs Lazio – Team News

AC Milan could be without key central defender Leonardo Bonucci, who was struggling in the match on Sunday.  Ricardo Rodriguez is back from suspension and could return to the team at left-back but otherwise, it is unlikely Gattuso will make many changes from the win on Sunday. Lazio are still without top scorer Ciro Immobile but Simone Inzaghi could make some changes to his attack for this game.  Both Felipe Anderson and Nani will be hoping to start this match having been on the bench at the weekend.

Top AC Milan vs Lazio Betting Tips

We should be in for another exciting match between these two teams, with plenty of goal mouth action.  We could easily have seen more than the 3 goals on Sunday and over 2.5 goals is 19/20 with Ladbrokes. Lazio could easily have taken a point from the match on Sunday and will feel a draw is enough in this match to take back to the Stadio Olimpico for the second leg.  The draw and both teams to score is 3/1 with William Hill. If both teams score in a draw and we see over 2.5 goals scored, that makes the 2-2 draw at 14/1 with William Hill an intriguing bet.
