Both Spain and England were among the favorites to win the trophy coming into the EURO 2024 and which one will really do it, we will see at the Olympiastadion on July 14th.
Spain vs England: Initial situation
England scored a late game winner to return to the EURO finals after a heartbreaking loss in the previous competition. They did not play the best football in the tournament, but they proved their class by reaching the final. The last step towards the trophy would be the toughest one since Spain has been excellent throughout the entire tournament.
Spain Stats & Form
Spain had a real challenge in the semifinals, going against France, who took the lead in the ninth minute when Randal Kolo Muani hit the net. The Spaniards kept playing their game, and by the 25th minute, they took over the lead after Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo scored in a four-minute stretch. That was another proof of their excellent offensive line, but at the same time, Spain managed to keep their net clean for the rest of the game.
The quarterfinal against Germany was even more dramatic, as Spain scored in the final moments of the second extra time to advance. Mikel Merino was the hero with the late goal, while Dani Olmo put them in front in the first half.
In the round of 16, Spain defeated Georgia by 4-1, even though they allowed the first foal in the game. Rodri, Fabian Ruiz, Nico Williams, and Olmo scored for Spain.
Luis de la Fuente’s team was the only one to win all three games in the group stage of the competition. Spain started with a 3-0 win over Croatia, then defeated Italy by 1-0, and the same score was on the board against Albania on the last matchday.
Spain has won the last eight games, and in six of those, they scored at least two goals.

Betting tip and prediction: Spain vs England (14.07.2024)
England has another chance of bringing the trophy home after a devastating loss to Italy at Wembley at the previous EURO. Gareth Southgate’s team did not play as well as everyone expected, but they did what it took to advance every single time and reach the final. Spain was much better at dominating most of the time, even though they had tougher opponents in the knockout stage.
Spain’s midfield is playing amazingly well, constantly putting pressure on the opponent’s defense, and that will be the case in the final as well. Their young core has shown maturity, but it is a huge question whether they will keep the same level of play in the final. England has a couple of players like Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham who proved that they can make the difference with one touch of the ball, and that will be the case in the final as well. No matter how England played the entire tournament and the fact that the odds do not go in their favor, this will be the night when England will bring the trophy home.
